Tuesday is a bank holiday in Germany, good opportunity to use left over vacation days on Monday (Brückentag)
The automatic translation didn't manage to say what Russian localization says, which is "Learn and burn your rubber!" as the last sentence. But the fact that this is only in Russian means it was just a choice of words from a person translating this and not a hint of anything.
How is it written in the original? I was confused by the combination of the words, "going to load" and "burning tires."
Where’s the guy that tells us the estimated release date for the updates? --- Post updated --- Scintilla in 0.9 WTF
i would love to see a 1970s usdm facelift for it becuase of the fuel crisis and then it could stick around as a bullet proof minitruck
According to steam "beamng" has earned about $84 million, which is one of the highest among racing games, I wonder what the current roster is like, how many employees? How much will the development speed increase due to this fact?
wait, By steam? really? cuz there's many games out there like forza or assetto corsa that way more (millions) players then beamng does... so that wouldnt ,make sense, since beamng has only around ~2-3 million players.
Well, that's really amazing! especially beamng is much newer than the whole forza series. the first forza game came out in 2000s, and beamng came out in 2013. that's quite impressive!
The success is obvious, but we should not forget that our game is, in fact, an indie project. And Microsoft is behind Forza).
Huh, what is the source for this? Link? I will laugh if it's a random youtube video that isn't even associated with BeamNG devs or Valve. Steam would never reveal developer earnings themselves. They do yearly best earners thingy, but that has just tiers like Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze with no defined range for the tiers.
Yeah, that's total bollocks. That SteamSpy knock-off site has no access to any data that would let them get anywhere near accurate enough revenue estimation. It used to be possible to get pretty accurate(lots of developers vouched for it) ownership numbers from going through all the Steam profiles and estimate revenue that way(which would be way less accurate than ownership number estimation). But Steam made all game stats private by default like 6-7 years ago so sites like SteamSpy lost their main utility. Later in 2018 someone discovered that global achievement unlock stats though the Steam's API had 16 digits of precision and figured out a way to estimate ownership that way. Valve moved really quickly to kill that and started rounding those stats.
No, not really. It's not even good enough for casual discussion as it can be off by order of magnitude without any reliable data to make estimations from. Currently the only reliable data we can get about game's success on Steam are the number of reviews and current+peak daily player counts. Sites like SteamSpy had to resort to estimating owners from amount of reviews and that did not work well.
