I wonder if there wouldn’t be a way to really implement twin stick support for all 3 of us who would buy a second shifter just to do twin stick things if it were natively compatible. The existing T series has twin sticks, and having dayton rims definitely puts it in the right vintage to continue that. In case my pfp wasn’t a giveaway I quite like antique big rigs. I’d also like to note that historically conventional trucks and cabover trucks in the US were basically built on the same chassis. I can point out many examples of such trucks where the only real difference is the cab.
self-note; read my post before posting I just said that because I really didn't see the issue I forgot people play the game vanilla. It's so easy just to get the cabover version from mods. Sorry Also do we even know there's going to be a cabover version except for that small frame?
Having seen many bare frame semi trucks of all styles, I can assure you that’s a tiltcab cabover chassis. If I’m wrong I’ll eat my hat.
i mean what else do we got to speculate about? there was a leaked multiplayer thing but it might be fake
The T Series remaster and whatever the cabover is going to be called (I’m just going to call it the C Series until it’s actual name is revealed) could also imply some new transportation missions for career mode, some that actually resemble the thumbnail for such missions. I also wonder if we might get another new trailer like a car hauler of some kind, since we just got the tilt deck for pickups.
Also, pure speculation here, but some of those bottom frames seem perfect length to be heavy duty tow trucks. It’s something a lot of ATS players enjoy modding in so it would make sense to have it in BeamNG, especially if there develops away to strap things down yourself like has been discussed before.
Damn, I’m so excited for this update, as usual. There are so many possibilities! BeamNG’s developers can somehow come up with the perfect updates and release them to the public every three months. I’d like to see a triple-A game try that!
Very much agreed. I’m probably one of the few people who genuinely enjoys driving those old cabovers.
James made a post today mentioning that his team has been focusing on delivery missions in the laborer branch which includes some new "developments" and he's at the main office for the next month-ish. So it sounds like the 2023 Holiday update is going to be including some new career mode stuffs that ties into the T-Series remaster
In case it wasn’t clear yet, I’m a Mack fan myself. Hoping this remaster takes a few cues from the Mack Superliners and Cruiseliners.
I've never driven a Mack, always been a bigger fan of KWs and Petes, but I sure do like the look of the Superliners.
