Update Speculation thread

I wonder if the trailers will allow for the tandem axles to be spread apart or doubled in the sense that you’re carrying a heavy load. Maybe an option for bogies being a multi axle variant would be a nice addition.

 

at this point i doubt we'd get a teaser. which means that they're either working on stuff we've wanted for a long time, don't like us, are trying to make 23 more hotfixes for 0.30, or have simply given up

but I did notice that the teaser on November 14th is a bit long, which could indicate that either they remembered they have a truck in game, or Jimmy The Long is going to be used for something else altogether

 

I’m honestly so glad that T-series is finally getting attention, I think a lot of others on here have explained most possibilities pretty well, but I wanna bring up some things I don’t think have been mentioned yet:


-The teaser shows all the frames with a burnt orange color. Truck frames are almost always painted black from the factory, and to me the frames’ texture looks to smooth to be just rusty or something, so I will float the possibility that we might be getting colorable frames.

-Notice that some frames have more space between the fuel tank and steps than others. I think they are planning larger fuel tank sizes for some configs. Less likely but still possible, the space could be for diesel exhaust fluid (DEF/ adblue) tanks and/or side mounted air tanks. If it’s DEF tanks then that would mean a modern version as DEF only became required in US trucks since 2008.


-Finally, I think some of the extra long extended frames may have 5th wheel options and stretched sleepers, they just might not have the fifth wheel put on yet in the teaser (Specifically the long ones with no overhang behind the rear axles). Notice that none of the frames have driveshafts either, so this clearly still has a ways to go.

has anyone thought about when we will get water sounds??? Splashing sounds, the sounds of waves on the beach, etc.

I wonder how all the current T-Series mods as well as my own will co exist with the new update.

 

I think some mods which took directly from the vanilla file will not function, or if they took valinna parts and renamed them, so they'll continu to work

Do you guys think we will have new T-Series configs like a T85, T95? or for the more supersized ones T115, T125, T135 or T145

 

It would make sense because of the long boi frames

 

I wonder if one of those frames could be used for an RV or a bus. Can any of you truck people confirm if that would make sense or not?

 

well remasters completely rewrite the files and refreshes (like the ETK one in 0.28) use older files. that's why there are still some old etk configs. if the file were redone, which they probably will, it would be a remaster.
