For example, go to the thread (etk k) and browse through the pages! You will see a lot of errors and crooked solutions there Remaster or upgrade is not important, but you can see the result for yourself
1. a covet sedan or coupe would have likely just cannibalized upon the pessima, which is already being neutered by countless mods. furthermore, i'd imagine that it would be somewhat odd to have a crx variant next to mr. turbo, since they would be completely different cars sharing the same spotlight in the change log... coupled with the fact that fans would be clamoring for a mid engine version of the crx, which would probably take too long. (they should have added a 4wd shuttle variant though imo) 2. i don't think that the devs would have been happy adding another late 80's wagon to the roster, since we already have the legran. no, it's not a japanese legend (in fact it's the opposite), but it has most of the same drivetrain options as the pessima, with its only few main differences being its nationality, *optional* solid rear suspension, and visual design, and that's likely what matters more to the devs. they're more focused on the quality of content, which is why we get remasters in the first place. the shape and size of the content always comes second, or even not at all. they're the ones who would take a precision-polished stone over a raw chunk of diamond. 3. you're upset that the interior clock was removed? also, i'm not sure if you're aware, but i'm certain that a car like the moonhawk or burnside would much rather enjoy a remaster than the mk1 pessima.
I think the Hopper and Sunburst are more urgent. How would you even open this from the inside? And why don't the higher performance sunbursts have sports seats and stuff?
I agree, the Moonhawk looks pretty good for its age and I don't think currently needs a remaster. However, the Hopper and MK1 are starting to really show, especially when compared to new additions/remasters --- Post updated --- Would be nice --- Post updated --- Also, does anyone know what this thing is? It looks like it could be a long sleeper variant, but its frame looks too weird to be a fifth wheel.
Actually I haven't, I'll take a look now. Though when I was referring to the "looks" I mainly meant the interior and stuff, and the Moonhawk has one of the best looking ones in my opinion. Edit: Polygons aside, it doesn't look horrible.
to be fair, i said cars like, not specifically the moonhawk and burnside. i did consider putting the sunburst in there you did, however, remind me that the hopper existed lmao, goes to show how ancient the poor thing is
And to think that that thing almost broke the forums before it released - I don't think I've ever seen so much excitement for a single vehicle before or since.
You're completely right. Considering that we have gotten 2 samples now, I'm betting that they're only working on finalizations for 0.31 at this point, if not completely done and just waiting until next week to reveal the final Teaser Tuesday.
I do not think I have touched the hopper in literal years, It just doesn't have a lot of content for it aside from "cool off-road macguffin that gets replaced by something for the D-Series" or "fabric top go brrrrrr". Really just shows its age as a vehicle that was released moreso because it was just a technical showcase on off-roading addons that the dev team was working on and not so much a vehicle concept with alot of applications
And unlike the D/H/Roamer's L6, the Hopper's L4 and L6 still don't have any tuning options outside of nitrous - you can swap a heavy-duty engine block into each of them to knock off two hp or rip their exhausts off to gain a little power, but that's it. 32 hp (the difference between the carb'd and late fuel injected intakes on the D/H/Roamer six) is quite a big margin in comparison - you can actually make that six more powerful than the early 4.5L V8 (182 hp vs. 175 hp) without any nitrous. (It's still not a turbocharger or anything else really significant, but it's way better than nothing at all.) Granted, the other ~4.0L L6s also suffer from a lack of tuning options (the next-best option, the 3.8L L6 in the Bluebuck/Barstow, has a tuning range of ~10 hp without nitrous, and you can't do squat to the Moonhawk's 4.0 L6 outside of sticking a side pipe on it which doesn't change the horsepower) - I think that's because the devs kinda expect most people to go for the V8s (which they most likely would, since the L6s don't have much you can do with them).
Same difference I think. I've seen inline engines referred to as L-type engines; L4, L6, etc. although I think it's more common in the far-east than anywhere else. I've played some Japanese racing titles where inline engines were all labelled 'L-Type'.
I've never heard an inline called an "L" type, nor could I find anything online. Could you be confusing it with engine's size, as "L" could be used to represent "liters"? For example, an "L4" might be "4L"? I don't know much about JDM or Japanese titles though, so I could be mistaken. --- Post updated --- I'm so excited to have a vanilla cabover, and just as excited to see what amazing mods come out for it
