I just checked, apparently it's a mistranslation, Inline becomes just Line, hence L4/L6 instead of I4/I6 (Google translated from Japanese Wikipedia)
The K-Series that didn't match this was just teased last year, I don't think this sample size is big enough to say they have 100% stopped doing it and won't do it this time or ever again
I say within the next two weeks regardless of teasers as they are a very unreliable indicator of the progress of something
Very useful information, thank you for clarifying that. It also explains why I'd only ever seen it in Japanese media and nowhere else. I suppose it could rightly be considered a 'cultural difference', and as a solely English speaker I'd still be inclined to use it in the context of Japanese vehicles.
The same thing happens with the "V" letter in Italy. I recall of a very rare Grand Tourer vehicle, named the "Diatto GT Ottovu Zagato", and it was launched some time in 2006. The "Ottovu" part of its name is an extended version of the "8V" code. Now, normally, one would think its engine has 8 valves but nope, it's a V8 - and a Maserati one, IIRC. So yes, such misunderstandings are very common!
I wonder what nice things we'll get from career mode. It looks like BeamNG has been experimenting with low-lag traffic vehicles (see ETK I and Covet configs), so perhaps they're planning to implement high-density traffic which would be really cool. It's probably a long way from being fully added, but it would be a neat feature. --- Post updated --- I didn't know that, thanks for the info! --- Post updated --- It's also been well past 2 weeks since they've revealed it. Also, they're working on trailers now, if it wasn't done yet you would figure their attention would be 100% on the T-Series.
I'mma give the Covet a pass on that, since dev time and art budget aren't infinite. I'm sure alternate factory bodystyles would have been possible within the development timeframe (and hopefully might still be in the cards for the future), but it might have come in leiu of something arguably more important for a fairly inexpensive 80's/90's Japanese car: wacky customization options. The devs elected to do the latter, and I think they chose wisely.
imagine if the devs were messing with us and the frames we saw a bus frames and the sliding thing was some kind of bus thing
devs can we please get a 1970's class a motorhome on one of those frames i want to pilot the worst handling vehicle ever created
Most likely there was a model, it was just hidden in the parts selector. You know how you can hit the eyeball button and hide certain parts?
Why are you suggesting an AI Generated truck that's twice as tall as a normal one with duallies on the front? What even is that supposed to be?
actually unrelated entirely to the game, but that truck was likely real Was made during the short period where "dromader' trucks were popular, they've put a whacky almost aircraft landing gear setup under the cab to allow for duallies up front and IIRC around 10 ton load rating on steer axle reverse image search could get you some more info most likely Another fun fact, it was mid engine, and the engine was laying on its side under the upfit like in old ikarus bus Really sucks theres sooo little info about that era of commercial vehicles, seemes like the best gold mine for whacky engineering
