I do wish that the map devs would do more devblog threads for the maps they make, like they did with Italy and WCA. IMO, maps are just as important (if not more so) than vehicles - they give a great idea of how the Beam world differs from the real one and give new places to drive around in. That is - if they're making any new maps in the near future. (Not bashing the map remasters (they're great stuff, and it's good to see all of them (except Cliff) brought up to modern standards), but it does concern me a little that we've only had one all-new map (JV) and one significantly-different map remaster (Gridmap V2) since Italy was released. In that same time frame, we've gotten 13 all-new vehicles (Rockbasher, Dunekicker, Wendover, Lansdale, Wigeon, Stambecco, Wydra, Aurata, Scintilla, FCV, Bluebuck, Bastion, Autobuggy) and a smattering of vehicle remasters (Grand Marshal, Pigeon, LeGran, Bolide, K/800, D/H/Roamer, Covet, '96 Pessima), along with things like the Hopper Crawler, D-Series Crawler, and Gambler vehicles.) Also, we only have one RHD map (Automation) and two European maps (ETK and Italy), which is a bit strange considering how much the vehicle devs have been leaning into Euro/RHD vehicles or versions of vehicles (Euro Lansdale, JDM Covet, Covet MR, Wigeon, FCV, etc.).
I speculate that the devs have found some bugs, and here is why : No new mods : No teaser : They are all profusely playing BeamNG, which might mean they are searching for bugs I wish they could release today, however, I suspect a release tomorrow
We haven’t had a single overly insane teaser, unlike last time, the time before that, and before that --- Post updated --- Today? It’s like 22:00 in east coast
Apparently it's like 2:15 am in Bremen, Germany (BeamNG Headquarters), so it doesn't sound entirely impossible
I can’t believe I wrote nothing exactly 1 year ago, which was also the release date of 0.27! Happy birthday my favorite beamNG update --- Post updated --- --- Post updated --- BST - beamNG standard time
I'm pretty certain it will be tomorrow at the very latest. It makes no sense to prolong it any further, unless they're really swamped with bugs.
If not tomorrow, I think it'll be Thursday at the latest - all the previous four big December updates (0.18, 0.21, 0.24, 0.27) have come out on or before the 15th, and Friday updates are extremely rare (the last major one we had on Friday was 0.17, which was more than four years ago). As for what time on that day, well... (These are all in UTC) -0.30 came out at 10:12 -0.29 came out at 12:23 -0.28 came out at 13:30 -0.27 came out at 12:58 -0.26 came out at 14:55 -0.25 came out at 11:52 -0.24.1 came out at 16:30 -0.24 came out at 19:30 -0.23 came out at 14:34 -0.22 came out at 16:10 -0.21 came out at 11:03 -0.20 came out at 14:17 -0.19 came out at 16:01 -0.18.3 came out at 16:05 -0.18 came out at 17:02 -0.17.1 came out at 18:30 -0.17 came out at 14:51 -0.16 came out at 15:41 -0.15 came out at 13:36 They've been leaning more towards releasing updates at earlier and earlier times, it seems - the last time we had an update after 15:00 was with 0.24.1, almost two years ago, and the past four updates have all been before 14:00. 0.30 might actually be the earliest a major update has released within the day.
