Update Speculation thread

Dec 14th was the most recent update and every few months or so an update comes out
Sparks the question: which update had the most hotfixes (2020-2024)
Anyways if we get either a new ETK or a new brand entirely then that would be nice

0.30 had the most, it had 5-6. I know a few other updates also had 5,, but don’t remember which ones.

if beamng ever gets multiplayer they should add minigames like infected and hide and seek and demo derbies ect.

 

They most likely would if it was ever official

 

They will likely add multiplayer variants of scenarios we already have now - just replacing AI with players. Though I would like to see some of the minigames that you mentioned implemented.

 

Would hope there would be main lobbies for freeroaming and the rest being kept mod friendly for user based lobbies.

 

I agree, A GTA V style online-freeroam option in the game would be really cool... Given it has no flying motorcycles that shoot homing rockets.
If they add freeroam, I feel like it would be separate servers with custom settings based on the host's preferences (e.g. player collisions, certain vehicles/parts disabled, etc.) I think that would be most ideal, at least.

 

Havn't posted in a while here. One thing i really think they need to bring back is the hulk strength that you had in the early versions when walking mode was added (like 0.22 or 0.23, they removed it in 0.24) i want to yeet a pigeon 5 kilometers across the belasco city again! also, bringing this back could make the possibility of surfing on cars, just like on other games such as teardown on the early versions. it would be nice to have it in modes like freeroam. not career or something like that. that would count as cheating.

 

Yeah, I agree. Also, 0% strength on the node-grabber still has strength.

 

Tools would be cool, like a gravity grabber gun, hammers, etc. I do believe that walk mode will be revised as career mode progresses.

 

BeamMP just updated their walking mode.

 

AI revamp would be more of W move for me, especially better ai police chases and less ai chase issues. Also a destruction derby ai option.

 

Road rage could be a thing too! especially with like some semi trucks (witch can be a AI update on it's own. AI wont spawn in trucks or heavy machinery like that, witch i think they also should add.) something like in the Dual movie would be so cool in my opinion.

 

I've personally had AI road rage. If I hit and run them, sometimes they chase me and hit me back.
