Update Speculation thread

my opinion is it could be incredible but owing to its' age and the fact that it could really be a lot more content dense than it is i mostly just find it to be ok. a decent remaster job would easily fix both of those issues

 

My issue is with the way it drives. It is neither enjoyable nor realistic. It has a modest premise, which I respect - a cheap sports car, and thus far a common powertrian - which is less okay but kind of understandable. Having said that the main area for it to shine should be the handling, but it is just not the case. It is as uninspiring as it gets. Huge amout of understeer which cannot be counteracted using any rational driving technique. What doesn't help is the surprising lack of lean for an early 90s sports car. It would help with weight transfer. Also I feel like narrower tires would loosen the rear a little (they are way too wide for sth you would find in 240sx e.g.)

 

I hope that we get some sort of boxier 80s pre facelift if its 200 bx remaster I have never been a fan of the 90s sports cars they always looked a bit bland like the 90s pessima

Back on topic now, We got a teaser of a probably JDM car, and a fun screenshot of possibly Small Island. And from what @TalksWithNoise said, also a mention of a “Big Island”

 

Tribal mentality. We feed someone to the volcano in hopes for update speculation.

On topic as well, I was with a group of people on Discord and a few of us found the screenshot was taken on Small Island. So we’re not looking at Big Island!

 

I'm betting on few straight sixes, 2.0, 2.5, 2.6 in na and turbocharged configurations.

 

tbh with the way things are going I suspect the update will either land on the beginning of April or the week after, doubt they'd release the update before Easter but maybe we'll get suprised.

what I don't understand is how people keep saying it's a 200BX remaster.
the teeser image just doesn't follow the body lines well enough. (imo)
