I wouldn't be surprised if there was multiple drift set-ups included in a 200bx remaster, as beginners have cheaper cars with less mods compared to formula drift cars that have custom made carbon fibre body panels, big roaring V8s, and custom chassis.

As for my own speculation:

I was exploring the tram system in WCUSA (the one that goes across the bridge) and noticed that it ends incredibly close to the new car park. What could this mean? More expansion in that area of the map to possible add a tram station. Would that include trams? Probably not. But heck, it's the update speculation thread, mind aswell share my latest discoveries.

 

While me cant wait to get drift car.

the 200BX was the most customization-able cars in the game. And most detailed for its time 9 years ago.

As much as i hope for a all new car. my money is on a 200BX total remake. I just hope it gets the I6. With a long lose.
Or at least the V8 swap that Gabe promised 9years ago.


As well as a 4 door skylineish thing lol.


BUT best dream would be

all new skyline type car.
AND 200BX remaster

2nd best is just new car.

3rd best and still awseome its just a 200BX reamake

New map wow i ETA dec or jan next year.

I hope its a wet type map/snow. I do not want another West map, I think somewhere like a German city will be great or japan

 

I speculate:

• Weather could make it into the game. Think about it, BeamNG has this awesome physic engine, yet all maps are basically always dry. There are some things that hint at it if you so like:
  
  - The temperature on Johnson Valley is oddly cold
  - Some maps also have fixed temperatures, (that dont change depending on the time of day) which might indicate that further advanced systems are planned.
  - Tire thermals once implemented will also be affected by weather, so it makes sense to have weather first
  - Career mode would greatly benefit from weather
  - Having to handle occasional wet asphalt may force you to compromise between the best sport tires (ideal for dry asphalt) and more regular tires (for wet asphalt). (Career Mode)
  - Winter maps anyone? Simulate accuratly in BeamNG why not having winter tires is a bad idea if there is ice and snow. ;-)
  
  
  
• The Stambecco will likely receive the ability to carry Cargo Boxes next update
  

 

Yeah now that it’s basically confirmed we’re getting a new map I think it’s gonna be a Japanese one. I mean (probably) Japanese car, “emerging and “hope we brightened up your day” text probably referencing the land of the rising sun, or Japan. And drifting, there seems to be a lot of Japanese drift cars (at least from what I got from other racing games lol )

 

What's bugging me about the weather is that we all would be quite happy with just rain, and ETK center already has wet road patches, so the handling physics must have been somewhat solved for it I think? I really wonder what's blocking them from having at least a WIP rainy weather. Maybe the way water interacts with the cars/objects on the map? First person view drops on the windows? These all have been in different games in the last 20 years though

 

i speculate an etk center expansion and hopefully not an update in like 2 months i wouldnt be able to wait that long lol

Yeah has me worried we may have to wait Mouths. as well, As much as i love a new map. been a bad mouth for me so i hope this update is soon. I know when its due,

HOWEVER. First teaser for the Bastion came on 29 Sep 2021.
the car came

And it came on December 20, 2021

The Van first teaser came may 16th 2023
Showing the Van in game but very basic ( meaning like the black and white photo of bastion and new coupe ) It was not fully showen till we got the of road van teaser in June 14 2023

Next teaser was June 27, 2023
Just a few days before it droped for us to enjoy.


In saying that i REALLY hope its not like the ETK and Covet Teasers that had us waiting a very long time lol/


Mind you i think a DEV would of said we not Doing the 3 mouth if its not comeing soon.

 

We also saw some mods add rain to the map.

 

Well, honestly i can wait even a year for another update, the thing is that it shouldn't disappoint.

 

This is awesome news...

As much as i love johnson valley as i thoroughly enjoy all aspects of offroading in beam, i am super keen for a new map thats road based.

I wish for a UK based map with updated logic for left hand driving AI as it seems to be broken at the moment.

 

2015player is banned? huh...

 

a japanese map would be more interesting, plus its with the jdm car theme so its more likely.

 

The map probs won’t come until late 2024 to mid 2025

 

East coast expansion is really needed in my opnion
