Well I hope Muye stretches the editing till Monday so I am right --- Post updated --- --- Post updated --- Also I am very excited to play the new content --- Post updated --- No
Yep, say a "Half-Mile" or a "Full-Mile"! Now that I'm thinking about it, these drag racing scenarios could also be part of the Gridmap V2 and Grid Small Pure maps, using the tandem drag racing UI app for controlling more than two cars (the video is somewhere in the Civetta Scintilla thread). We've yet to see this UI app in Beam! Not to mention that, supposing the WCUSA map gets an airport sometime, they should also be part of that map too (plus a "Quarter-Mile" scenario for the landing strip of the Kurupae Aero Club airport in the Automation Test Track map)! --- Post updated --- Yay, QA Stable update (I'm a bit late but oh well)!
Another thing I want to see in game is high altitude drag strips. It's a different meta than building a car for sea level racing. Turbo builds are more desirable, proper cooling is more difficult, and aero is less effective. It would be really funny to have a career mode build that's great for WCUSA but struggles against a mild build Covet at another map.
Yeah id say a few days, hopefully thia week since it has been shorter (atleast i think so..) between creator release and public release for the last couple of updates
The creator program was last updated on December 11th, and the update was released three days later, on December 14th. --- Post updated --- So we MIGHT get the update this wednesday - thursday
Would be amazing if it drops with a small japan inspired map to go alongside the 200bx remaster. Aswel as demo derby ai mode!!
Variable altitude in Beam? Super interesting! It would also mean that, due to lack of proper cooling, Supercharged drag cars, albeit as fast as Turbocharged drag cars in high altitudes, would blow up even quicker due to twice as excessive friction overheating! And that is if they're lucky to be faster in the high altitudes due to the lack of aero resistance!
Creators were not happy about the few day crunch though and I believe it came down to the devs being in their own crunch. Depending on how things turned out it may be much later (which is a good thing for all parties).
Exactly!! Or power based on temperature for Super-/Turbocharged engines, because, traditionally, they don't cope well with high temps!!
