Non disclosure agreements? Concerning what? We're not going to see any teasers any time soon because a) the update itself is delayed (probably by a significant amount of time) b) it has already been stated that there is nothing interesting to show us (at this time) hence:
When that was the case I always got a "your message was deleted" message. This is not the first time this has happened. And i am not claiming to be the main character, I just want to know when my stuff is deleted and why. I have had mutliple things deleted without explanation and it is VERY annoying. Not to mention warnings vagueness. They say you have a warning for "inaproprate content" instead of what rule you broke, and give you the entire text that was flagged and no further direction, then tell you "now don't do it again!"
I do admit that it is annoying when they do not tell you which rule you broke. I called you "not the main character" because you seemed to act like this was a personalized attack on you specifically, ignore the fact that there was a bigger argument happening in the thread at the same time. Also, I was never notified of my post deletion either, so I guess they can also delete stuff without notifying you (they could already edit your post without you knowing).
Oh sweet. now I can worry about post editing! Seriously though, I did not think it was a huge argument that they would have been worried about, and it seemed like random deletion to me at first. And plus I have had years of crappy moderators on other games, so I,m probably inclined to think badly of them. I still want to know when and why my stuff is deleted! Or what rule I broke when I got a warning!
I'm sure you've got more important things to worry about rather than trying to figure out why your post in the update speculation thread was deleted
I agree. Unclear moderation is unhelpful and aggravating. How does a moderator expect the person being moderated not to make the same mistake again when they don't even know what they said that broke the rule in the first place? --- Post updated --- He does make a good point though. Why not tell someone why their post was removed? There's nothing gained from being intentionally vague while moderating, it just tells said user that they're not welcome here and doesn't prevent someone from making the same mistake going forward, especially if there's no word or notification at all when a post is moderated or removed.
I don't how you do, but on that note, I do hope we get another Burnside in the future. But not like the 50/60s American boats we currently have, maybe some sort of wagon type SUV thing like the Suburban or Travelall, or something sporty like a Studebaker, or maybe an 80s malaise-era boat.
I wish ( i really do ) BUT given the dev blog i think we will not even get a teaser till AUG or SEP BUT i legit want to get proved wrong.
Minor clarification (directed at everyone here - I'm just quoting your summary post as reference): what I explained about code cleanup in the other thread, is simply one example of the kind of background work that has happened. It doesn't mean that this is all that we've been working on; quite the opposite, since it represents just a couple days of my cleanup work, and ignores the rest of my time, and ignores the rest of the devs' work. That said, v0.33 will be equal size (or probably smaller) than what you are used to even for normally-scheduled updates, as explained already. So if anyone is expecting a surprising update, or many cool new features, etc, I recommend they re-read the post to remember what was explicitly said about that. TLDR: please, please don't hype yourselves unnecessarily, that will hurt everybody (community being sad and confused when the fake expectations aren't met, and us when someone decides we've been slacking off or something). Lastly, while I'm quickly checking the last few pages in this thread, and noticing the amount of deleted posts: I'd like to remind everyone to please keep it civilized, and on-topic (so, talk about update speculation). And to please redirect any possible needs of drama to some other place. We really, really want to focus on beamng.drive, and spend as little of our limited time as possible on policing and moderating drama situations on forums. Every minute that a dev spends here reviewing posts, hiding offtopics, hiding inappropriate posts, etc, is valuable time they could instead have spent on making progress for our simulator one way or another. Please keep that in mind in the future
