Welp, their goes my sanity... Now I have to worry about weather repo mods are paid or not

Its bad enough being disapointed by almost every great mod that comes along on the forums.

 

"oh no, content creators can get compensation for their hard work? Impossible."

For your information... I just don't want to see paid mods in my Repo!!! At this point iv'e given up on arguing against paid mods in general... Now I just don't want them on the repo were they can taunt my empty wallet like every AA - AAA game with dlcs.

 

I'd rather have an official and trusted way to distribute them, thanks. Also who even forces you to look at them?

Have you ever bought a game without buying the DLC? If you have games like "snowrunner" without DLC, you will know what i mean.

 

empty wallet but you can afford electricity, water, food, internet and a pc good enough to run beam? there always seems to be a lack of logic with you type, just admit that you don't like modders being compensated for their work.

You are missing the point completely. The fact that they are their just standing their taunting me is EXTREMELY annoying. Play "Snowrunner" without buying the DLC and you will find out what I mean FAST.

Everytime (In Snowrunner) you select a car their are 10 DLC cars just standing there. You can look at them but you can't use them. Seemingly taunting your lack of funds by being viewable.

I don't want that in my Beam.NG repo experiance.

Now can we drop the "why can't u afford mods?" "why do you hate them so?" Crap? I JUST DON'T WANT PAID MODS TO BE IN MY REPO!!! ITS THAT SIMPLE!!! So please just shut up and and quit harassing me.

 

If paid mods do get added to the repo there will probably be a tab at the top of the in game repo for paid mods as there is a seperate tab for automation mods.

 

I feel all your pain, which penetrates every cell of your body when you go shopping and there are so many delicious things, but you do not have enough money for all these foods, drinks, phones, watches and other attributes of life) In the end - what? Ban all stores? Just ignore the paid mods) I personally bypass even the free ones).

 

At this point iv'e stopped wanting to ban them. I just don't want a "everything Rolls-Royce" superstore opening up in my virtual front lawn.

How easy do you think it would be to ignore a rolls-royce superstore in your front lawn? Do you know how big a superstore is!?

Its not like a web browser were I can close the tab. No... the tab would ALWAYS BE THERE reminding you of what you cannot have.

No, but I have to look at the store to get to my destination. (deleting/managing automation mods I made)

Try "Snowrunner" without buying the dlc's, play the game, and then tell me to ignore them.

 

I agree that having in-game content visible but behind a paywall is not a nice experience. It reminds you that 'hey, you have the game, but not all the game'. Here would be different though, mods are mods, and the repo is the repo.

 

Why do you need to have them all? Seriously, they aren't Pokem0n, are they? The only DLC vehicles I own in that game are the free ones, but does that mean I'm complaining online about not having them? No, of course not!

 

well are you gonna be playing beamng most of the time, or looking at the repo most of the time? at least in beam it's a sandbox and unlike in snowrunner you won't need a certain dlc to achieve a certain goal. and like others have said it would likely be a separate menu in the repo that you won't need to look at unless you choose to. it's not like the repo is your lawn, it's a place you go to get things you want, and in life sometimes things we want cost money. besides, I'm pretty sure the devs would be taking a cut of each sale so it'd be supporting them (and even if you don't want to support the devs and modders in such a way, why rob the opportunity from others?).

my man lives in Dubai next to the Mercedes branded tower
