Wait a damn minute. I swear 2 months ago it was legthepeg official and i even mentioned it?????? Am i tweakinh
Not really. The D-Series and the Roamer are Full-Size vehicles. The ones I'm talking about are Midsizers, so smaller. --- Post updated --- We have the Grand Marshal which is motivated by the 4.5 and 5.5 SOHC V8s (plus the 6.9/423CUI OHV V8) of the D-Series/Roamer/H-Series, so yes, I don't see any reason why the Bastion engines (complete with the same 8-Speed Automatic) can't power a duo of Full-Size BOF Bruckell Pick-Up and SUV models. --- Post updated --- And a modern SUV on the same Bruckell BOF construction!
As already mentioned by others, that is standard practice. More or less at least, since you'll have different tunes and accessories, engine bay layouts, etc.. To get a little bit more in depth, here's some examples: Current gen F-150: Second gen ecoboost engine: The F-150 got the 2.7, but a larger displacement version is also found in the Lincoln continental, Lincoln MZK D35 Ecoboost: Also found in the Noble M500, Ford GT (including the LM car), and Adamastor Furia. The prior generation of this engine was also in the Taurus and Lincoln MKR. Modular V8: Some variation of it has been offered in I believe every V8/V10 Ford/Lincoln since 1990, as well as a huge number of other manufacturer's cars (including several supercars and a bus). Current gen Ram Hurricane: Also found in the next gen Charger Modern Hemi: All of the Chrysler L-platform cars that were mass produced and sold in the US (Dodge Charger, Dodge Challenger, Chrysler 300, and the Dodge Magnum back when that was still a thing) Chrysler Pentastar: Same as the above + the Lancia Thema, Dodge Avenger, and Chrysler 200 Ecodiesel: A prior generation of the engine was in the Maserati Ghibli and Quattroporte Chevy Silverado L3B: Cadillac CT-4 LS: Everything In summary, it's easier to list the engines that can't be found in a normal car. That list would basically just be the big diesels and gassers from the heavy duty trucks. It depends how we define "rival". As far as something like towing capacity goes a modern midsized would be comparable to an older full sized truck.
Nobody mentioned it, but they confirmed tire thermals and degradation are in active development (3:07).
You're right on this one, but the Midsizer in question is at about the same time frame as the Full-Sizer D-Series (late-80s to mid-90s), so, naturally, it is less capable in that respect. It can be equally as capable as a D15, but certainly not as much as the D25 is. --- Post updated --- Yayyy!! --- Post updated --- I just saw this, man!! I'd love pedestrians to be part of BeamNG! If anything, it's a great opportunity for further diversifying traffic violations (ahem, GTA, ahem)! Speaking of, wouldn't it be a logical first step for the BeamNG cars to have adjustable driver and passenger weights too? I mean, the Pigeon/Wigeon cousins have this already! P.S., albeit quite an unrelated one: I'd also love the BCPD Garage to receive the same proximity sensors used to turn the lights of the Trilobite Service Station Garage on and off, plus some decent lighting too. The lighting as it is right now is useless at night time.
Not so much teasing. But more-so a “Look forward to next update!”, followed by a “Ah, it’s much more difficult than we expected”, a while back. I’m guessing tires are still a ways away considering data has to be derived and implemented from a gazzilion different types of driving and styles. If it were asphalt driving and drifting alone with a few preset tires I’m sure we’d have seen some more news about it by now
Looks like there is a box under that d-series cab. I'm thinking we're getting something akin to a medium duty F-series or Chevy Kodiak.
--- Post updated --- We may be seeing the 4-axle chassis and the D-/H-Series tanker upfit here, but, tbh, I'm really looking forward to driving the semi diesel V8!
