I mean, in this particular car, the Moonhawk, there isn't a regular LSD itself, there is "PlusTrak LSD" instead. I know it sounds weird. Still wondering what "PlusTrak" is...
Probably just a brand name (kind of like what you get on the Vivace/Scintilla AWD transfercases or on the ETK differentials
PlusTrak indeed is Bruckell's factory LSD of the time and it has been in the Moonhawk for at least 6 years (I've remembered it ever since I bought BeamNG in October 2018). It seems like the lore-friendly PosiTraction rear end or a GM-like terminology (remember the SmartTrak AWD system of the 90s GM SUVs). It could be repurposed and used for AWD Bruckell vehicles, now that I'm thinking about it. Or it could still mean the factory LSD but combined with an AWD system under a different name (imagine a 90s Midsize Bruckell Pick-Up/SUV platform with, say, "CommandTrak AWD with PlusTrak differentials")!
That as well as old engines often have cool names. I.E Ford Cobra Jet Dodge Max Wedge Chevrolet Blue Flame AND for us AUSSIES Ford barra and many more, While most new engines from most brands since the 1980s just go by. 4.5 v8 2.2 i4. They often do have model numbers I.E covets Sohc 1.3 is JG1300 and the 1.5 Sohc is the JC1500 AND DOHC is the JH1500 ( no there is no names to the covet. its just a idea to let you know If you know what i mean ) And so on.
Im just throwing it out there but since supposedly there will be a lot of work done with the game's code, it's possible that a lot of mods designed for the current version of the game will break, so it wouldn't make sense for lots of mods to be approved, just for them to immediately stop working when the next update comes out...
That would be a pretty "bad" move, as modding is really a big part of the game, and even really old mods still (somewhat) work. Luckly i dont think that is what they are doing: The only thing that is at risk im pretty sure are mods that use torque3d features, which can be removed in the future, which shouldnt be too devestating:
Not when mods are the lifeline of your game. Not when major updates are months out or delayed. The game wouldn’t have anywhere near the popularity it has today if mod support didn’t exist or wasn’t as extensive as it is right now. Modders have done things the developers have claimed impossible or would take too long to do. Multiplayer for instance. Tire thermals could be another. The animated wipers mod. Carkillers advanced graphics mod. Hell, the User Car Generator on the repo, where’s something similar officially? That mod is very bare-bones, but it was done probably years before it’s done officially. What about the multiple community made maps, many of which rival or better official quality? When was the last official complete map released? What about the paid mods from Lucas and Lj, mods that are absolutely better than recent official vehicles? If we had NONE of that, beam wouldn’t have popularity it has today. So no, I don’t agree with you. This is just another early access game, carried by its modders. Project zomboid and many other E/A games enters that chat. Should I go on? Enough of this, I’ve ended this discussion/topic with this post. There’s no reason to shut down the repo just because an update is about to drop. It’s not the developers responsibility to maintain mod compatibility with updates at the end of the day. It’s been down because of the exploit more than likely.
Since when was I complaining about updates taking too long? Have you read my post at all? Have you read any of the posts above mine? What do you think I was talking about? How did you get from everything I said, I was complaining about something else entirely?
I can't recongnise this area. Can you show where is it on the map? By the way, the Page 3391 seemed like a battlefield.
