I don’t blame them, about the SBR. We’ve had teasers of remade/remastered powertrain for that car for over a year now.
no, there's a reddit sub for that. almost half the posts there recently have gone along the lines of "we need a [car basically already in-game/machine so complex that it would cause permanent damage to a performance pc] except it should be ibishu or gavril or chesterberg which is a brand i made up during geography class in middle school" i swear to god every user there is hardly trying or close to dying. or both.
The last thing devs need to do is to read and take into consideration this kind of opinions. I 100% agree with who said this community is depressing. Just a reminder for the devs that there is (I hope) a huge percentage of silent customers who are fully pleased with every step BeamNG takes. We love every new feature, small or big, cars and maps design, early or late. We know quality content takes time and we trust your vision as we are convinced the team is passionate and competent, more competent than any loud self improvised car design expert spending their life obsessing over subjective nonsense about fictional vehicles on a videogame forum.
The SBR4 has GTR levels of performance. I doubt they can justify that design brief anymore, especially if they're giving it a refresh or whatever in the future, and I hope they give it the identity it deserves by spicing up the car. When I think of the SBR4 I honestly think of a Porsche 911 and a GT-R (engineering and luxury of a Porsche with the usability and casual-ness[?] of a GTR), and I think those would be much more appropriate design and lore influences than a BRZ and a Porsche, although that sounds pretty cool That seems like a bizarre concept though. I believe an SBR4 predecessor or concept car would cement the idea that the SBR4 was something that actual people would've wanted from Hirochi, and that the positive reception was enough for them to invest money into producing the SBR4 AND THEN making an EV trim, both of which must be something that people would've actually wanted. I believe people not liking the SBR4's design is because the car really seems like it came out of nowhere and is just an idea Hirochi had one year that was just magically successful. That's how I feel anyways. P.s. i love the sbr4 :> thank u devs for this amazing car that i can just stare at for hours admiring it. I trust that u guys will do this car justice whether it'll receive a refresh, remaster or simply a few quality changes. <3
I've always viewed the SBR4 as the Japanese version of a Porsche Panamera. There is even a EV version of it now.
SBR4 is probably a name taken from SuBaRu, and what this string of letters represents and what kind of car it is was probably decided later. If “Shooting Brake, Rear-engined, 4 comfortable adults” is an afterthought, then it makes sense that it would be a special design within BeamNG, not unlike any other IRL car . Sunburst was also probably chosen because of its similarity in spelling to Subaru. In the end, there is no clear model for SBR, but at least we know that the company Hirochi is very much aware of Subaru (although the piano and Aurata are very Yamaha-like). At any rate, if we speculate about the background of such design and so on, I think SBR is a quite interesting car, and I actually like it.
Maybe we should look at the positive side of things. We have a great community. If you look at things in a bad way then everything around you starts looking bad. You start seeing flaws in everything. You have to look at the good things. The community Easter eggs in the maps, the finish the drawing challenges, the amazing and funny mods out there, the fact that 70% of employees were really active in the community before hired, krallopian engaging with us on a daily basis to talk about updates. I mean just look at politics. Everyone gets more and more divided by politics, our leaders are deliberately trying to encourage hatred towards their oppositions, and everyone’s listening! There used to be a time where if you disagreed with someone you didn’t need to hate them, unity is what brings everyone together to make a better world. If we just say “oh the community is so horrible” then we’re never gonna get along. Everyone is gonna hate each other. We need to spread positivity on here. Anyways this is off topic af. Might delete later
I know little about astronomy, but I'm pretty sure that Sunburst comes from other astronomy term, Pulsar, as a reference to the Nissan Pulsar GTI-R.
I was kindly asked to elaborate on my previous statement so I did. I was happy to close my argument 3 pages ago. It’s quite a shit thing to do to hold against me my response to a specific question. What was I supposed to do? Ignore him for your comfort?
I come back and, HOLY CRAP that SBR4 looks good (especially the front bumper). I also really like the new Pessima bumper. Any idea what "grunt" in on the windsheild? A "new" (or one I hadn't noticed) performance "brand" would be my guess. --- Post updated --- It is THE BEST Supercar in beam. The Scintilla can kiss my butt.
Grunt has been a brand ever since they re-mastered the LeGran iirc It's featured right along the side of the car's race livery. The logo is also available to use in the game's livery editor. Like these said, before me. (I took too long to write my post...)
Now I remember. A brand that I only ever saw one 1 config of 1 car that I barely ever used. No wonder I forgot about it.
At least its not Stormworks, where the dev's got actual death threats with their IRL adresses and everything! --- Post updated --- Broke the game for less than 2 days and a mob was already forming...
