It's a Flathead I4. Old engines like that had conjoined exhaust ports. It appears to be a very close replica of the Willys L134 engine. The exhaust manifold lines up, the hose connections, the color, ignition coil, etc.
The fact that we have a secret 1930 Inline-4 sound set, pretty much confirms that it's going to be I4-powered. --- Post updated --- From factory of course. Now, I may be late on this, but was anyone able to read what it says on the blender's part name?
Woahh, a Flathead I4? That's so cool! I only knew of the famous Ford Flathead V8, so a Flathead I4 will certainly expand my knowledge! I know for a fact that Flatheads don't have the best of airflow, both in and out, so they tend to overheat quickly! Since I mentioned the Flathead V8, wouldn't it also be cool to have a Flathead V8 for this new car? Belasco City mobsters will have a great time!
I'm hoping for a Flathead V8 as well but, I don't think we've seen any evidence of one yet. Looks like this car is pointing more towards a Model A (at least so far, cards are still being held close).
1929 Willys Knight vs this new car, seem like it will be a willlys, There was however lots of L-head 6's i wonder if we get a inline 6
So, all this talk about this guy's crotch got me looking closer than I should've. Turns out the real leak was his pant's zipper was undone
The teasers of the body design make it look a bit later, equivalent to a 1933-1934 ford. If we're going solely off the ford, it had dropped the I4 by that point and only had V8s, and a lot of other american cars of the era had upsized at least to inline 6 engines. It would make a lot of sense to have both I4 and V8 variants, as it opens up the possibility for early hotrods, moonshine runners, nascars, etc. and since they don't need to source V8 sounds, and they can reuse a lot of the meshes/textures, it's minimal extra development time.
oh god what have i entered lol, it seems like the LEAK was more of the LEAK the the LEAK of a LEAK. OT, As i said before will we get a I-6 version I cant wait to have a leak of that. Then the thing may leak so much it may over Heat. while i eat my leaks.
Im not sure about this. I've always found the V8 sounds lacking due to the 60s American cars we have having sounds that aren't fitting for the era, and I feel like a 30s era V8 would need new sounds.
as it stands we have single overhead cam v8 sounds (added on by the new grand marshal exhaust) and a late model pushrod direct injection v8 sound but neither are close to fitting for an old school pushrod carb v8 flatheads don't sound tooooo different from mid 20th century v8s so maybe they'll add a new CHUGCHUGCHUGCHUGCHUG for both a flathead varient pre war car and the barstow/moonhawk/bluebuck/late gavril 6.9
By the OHV Direct Injection V8, you're refering to the Bastion V8? Or is there another group of sounds that I don't know about? I'd be surprised about at. I have seen a good majority of the files in the BeamNG folders. It's somewhat ironic as I am a complete nimrod when it comes to modeling and full modding.
