I see a Ford A-Type engine. I prefer to see a Bruckwell or Gavril. Their early vehicle timeline is somehow empty. https://www.museumofamericanspeed.org/mort-and-brett-sohc.html
i wonder if the pre war car will feature a pickup body as it seems around the time of the 30's to the 40's alot of companies made a truck with the same styling as their passenger car
Imagine being Jared and finding, to your horror, that your face is multiple persons' PFPS, and someone posted a screenshot of your zipper undone. (NGL it would be awesome if Jared actually used that pfp though) --- Post updated --- Note to future Jared: Do not have a shiny or otherwise highly noticeable objects in your crotch during teasers.
Yeah, I'd much rather have a cartoon character, like what I currently have, or a car, like what I've had historically, for my pfp than someone else's face. I am not replacing my Luz Noceda pfp for a picture of Jared as my pfp.
This pfp copying is stupid and should stop. I can't tell anybody from their pfp if they're all the same! It's stupid and using someone's face as a joke which in unfair to them. --- Post updated --- If they (Jared) want to use the pfp then I would fully endorse that (frankly it's a funny pfp), but everyone using it as a joke pfp seems kinda wrong since the original guy didn't give permission to use his face, and he probably doesn't even know about this in the first place!
I don't know whether or not to praise the person who started this pfp joke, or to swear at them. Like literally, stop with the frigging Jared (@ferrettank) pfps.
The zipper photo was very sus, I'll tell you. And when I say it was very sus, I mean it was very sus.
Yeah, but only a few years after the car styling came out. Ford would use car styling from a few years prior on their trucks.
yeah. i think the zipper thing was weird. i just saw this photo and thought it was funny. its all in good fun
I wonder if we will get ohv or ohc conversions like Cragar or Rajo or Ardun if we get a V8, or weird head swaps like bonneville guys do (the video is one with Subaru heads). Also speaking of bonneville, I wonder if the lake bed area in Johnson Valley will get updated to be more accurate and we'll get a lakes roadster config.
it is funny. there was the model T prototype V8. So it was possible in the mid 20s to have a V8. Hell chev did it in 1918, As well as others, WHILE i think a inline 4 may JUST be the only factory choose for this car. A v8 or inline 8 ( or smaller 6 ) will be good to and very possible either way if it does not come, am still happy i love pre war stuff
Maybe if the burnside is updated it will get a flathead v8 option even though its right at the end of Ford using it and the design is pretty much completely different from the early flathead v8s
I don't think it will be a Burnside but maybe. Of course brands can change, Willys is a big example, but I think a large reason for that was the great depression (comparing late 20s Willys to late 30s). If gabester's lore of Burnside being the luxury sector of Gavril stays (and changing that they were founded in 53), then I'd say this will either be a Gavril or a new brand. Considering the size of the engine compared to the go-devil (3.3 vs 2.2) even though it looks similar the market of the car will probably be similar to Ford or Chevy rather than more luxurious brands.
