I must say, this update really has me looking forward to what we are going to get in the future. A whole slew of rally cars that are split into classes, along with content for what, half of the rally roster... That's great, hopefully we'll see the other half of the rally cars get the same treatment in the summer update and later for future disciplines the team focuses on. The additions to WCUSA and Hirochi both feel great. The voice over for the rally mode, while of course needing some work, really makes the game feel like a proper game. I really hope to see not only co-drivers for more disciplines (like trophy truck racing and maybe someday a crew chief for appropriate disciplines), but also more voice over in general for the game. I really would love to see some voice over for miscellaneous items like new map, car, and event introductions and career milestones. The new radial menu is great. While I agree with the criticism that the old one was a better "quick menu", the new one is just overall nicer to use and look at IMO. It makes playing with a controller only an actually viable option now. Overall there was a lot here to be excited about and a lot of things are going in a really interesting direction.
You might be right, because the Miramar is one of the few vehicles which didn't get its lights re-modeled and materials redone.
It did get a new configuration, although the Sunburst received a configuration in one of the updates prior to its eventuate remaster.
Thinking about the wentward dt40l remaster. It didn't get any changes to its models apart from having a pbr screen display
In terms of tuning options, the Miramar is a desert. Even the Burnside has supercharger options and various V8 displacement options, the Miramar? NONE.
I mean there are four engines on the Miramar, they might be single and twin cam versions of two similarly sized inline fours, but overall I agree. Up until very recently it was practically an undisturbed archaeological site compared to the likes of the Hopper and Moonhawk. I do think the Burnside shouldn't not be prioritised though, it's a lot less modular than the Miramar, options-wise.
In my opinion, the vehicles that need a remaster after the Sunburst are the Burnside. The car has been very outdated since it was released and doesn't have many useful configurations. It has had few updates, which were at most updating the police configuration and improving the lights. But I'm not going to say that only the Burnside will receive a remaster because the Miramar also deserves a remaster since it is outdated like the Burnside itself. --- Post updated --- and I heard that this beamng will update a lot of old cars like the pessima gen1, hopper, i series, sbr4 and also those that were remastered like the pessima gen2, pigeon, bolide, h series and etc. (I'm just saying what I heard, I'm not confirming anything)
Especially with the base 313 V8 - there is ONE tuning part for that engine that isn't nitrous, mounts, or rev limiters (the race dual exhausts) that give it a whopping 5 more PS. That's one of the lowest tuning ranges for any engine in the game, and it has by far the lowest peak power output of any V8 in the game, at just 161 PS. The 232 V8 in the Nine can get to 318 PS, the K/800's 4.4L V8 maxes out at around 700 PS, and every other V8 in the game can get to around or well over 800 PS without nitrous - many of them deep into the 1,000-PS range. I don't expect the 313 V8 to have the same customization as the Megathrust (since it's pretty much the base L6 for the Burnside), but at least a four-barrel carb and a performance block would be nice. The Burnside also still has a massive gap in horsepower between the 313 and the Megathrust, of ~80 PS (161 to 240). That is almost double the entire tuning range of the Wydra, and likely still the largest power gap of any vehicle in its power range. It can take that power increase, but that's still a fair bit more than the car was designed for. If I drop the 1.9L DOHC L4 (132 PS) or a Stage 1 block (138 PS) into a Miramar GTZ, it'll still be fine with it. Even the Bluebuck/Barstow, with their large power gaps between the 232 L6 and 291 V8 (124 to 184 PS), are still mostly fine with that because that's going from rather underpowered to decently fast. The Burnside goes from decently fast to a bit of a handful to control, unless you practically rebuild the whole car. The Miramar's DOHC L4s at least get two performance blocks and a heavy-duty block, on top of a race exhaust. That's not a lot, but you can get quite a bit of range out of those parts - the DOHC L4s have a tuning range of 60-75 PS (the 1.6L goes from 112 to 172, while the 1.9L goes from 128 to 203). Also, speaking of the Miramar, I've just noticed that its "SOHC" L4s are now called "OHV" L4s - wonder when that happened.
Looks like there are more co driver voices planned and also voiced language support for the rally mode --- Post updated ---
the single greatest update in recent BeamNG history. Absolutely fantastic and devs should be impressed. Keep bringing the AI improvements, as they arent really usable up to this update. Love rally mode (defo need a rally legend like a Gavril Ford Escort or Arima Toyota AE86). And all the little updates and remaster is great. 10/10
