The real question is: how close is "upcoming"?

 

That is a range between in 0.2 femtoseconds and 10+ years. Of course, we got the ol' reliable "when it's ready"

 

That is a good question - the summer update generally has one of the widest ranges of dates it can drop. It's not like the winter update, which generally drops within a couple weeks every year Since 0.9, the release dates for the summer update have been:

-0.10: 9 August 2017
-0.13: 13 July 2018
-0.17/0.17.1: 16/29 August 2019
-0.20: 6 August 2020
-0.23: 30 June 2021
-0.25: 15 June 2022
-0.29: 4 July 2023
-0.33 (barely): 18 September 2024

I don't think there'll be any major delays for 0.36, like what happened with 0.33, but I do think it won't drop quite as early as 0.23 or 0.29. And after how many issues 0.35 had on launch (which was the second-earliest spring update in BeamNG history, behind 0.22), I don't think the devs want to have that again. I'm predicting late-July/early-August (so, between 0.13 and 0.17's release dates).

 

I was thinking Mid-June considering that we got a Teaser Tuesday and Teaser Thursday straight off the bat, but I could see them holding off until late July too

 

Mid-June would probably be a little too early, IMO. That'd be only two-and-a-half months after 0.35, which (considering the considerable number of bugfixes that had to happen after 0.35) would likely not be enough time. While 0.23 did drop two months after 0.22.3 (30 June/28 April), there still was three months between 0.22 (31 March) and 0.23, the Pigeon and Wigeon shared a lot of parts, and Gridmap V2 was likely in the works for a while. The Miramar and MD-Series won't be sharing parts, so even if the Miramar is only getting a refresh, those vehicles (and whatever else is coming) still would probably take longer than mid-June to get ready for release.

If we start getting teasers every week or so (like with 0.29), I could see late-June/early-July being a possibility (so, between 0.23 and 0.13's release dates). 0.29 had a lot of new content for many vehicles made in about two months as well as a new car (that probably was in the works for longer, but likely had the majority of its work done after 0.28).

 

I'm thinking early to mid July, it's been exactly 2 months since 0.35.

 

Fair point. I know files for an MD-Series bus were found after 0.33, and the first teaser was an in game photo and not a conceptual photo, but with how many fixes 0.35 required, I could see the July release happening

 

My best guess is it'll come out in July (unless if the update gets delayed which I hope not), prob around mid July to say the least

 

Considering the teaser we got ill guess the miramar is going to be just a refresh, Lights and updated textures and lhd imo

Do we know if the MD series is going to get a proper rear axle.. like one with dampers?

 

No shocks is "proper" for a truck like that from that era.

 

Leaf springs generate friction as they compress into each other. They act like position based dampers/shocks and springs all at once. I’ve seen some complaints that the MD is a fairly rough ride when it isn’t loaded but even velocity based shocks wouldn’t help matters. Its suspension has to be tuned for one state (loaded or unloaded). Can’t really cover all conditions which is the nature of shocks and dampers.
