Update Speculation thread

Nitrous purging seems to be done,
WCUSA seems to be in the final touches phase, and most WCUSA oriented configs wouldn't take long to implement.
What else is there that could go in the update? If WCUSA and NOS are the big things, we could see another Halloween update (which would make a LOT of people's attention compete between Spintires and BeamNG).

 

With Beam, you never know what else may be going on back there. There could also be the Bluebuck. After all, it was about 2 weeks before 0.8 that we got our first ingame glimpse at the LeGran and the caravan, and the K-series wasn't even given an introduction before its respective update, IIRC.

 

Any predictions for the update release? I would say next this Friday, the next, or the next.

 

I suspect the 31st because of the previous releases.

 

The K-Series had a silhouette teased about a month before but I think a lot of people missed it.

I would be surprised if they tease anything that would take awhile at this point, but it isn't out of the question. If they do tease a picture of a new vehicle I think it's more likely than not to be a mostly ready to go in game vehicle (like what we got with the LeGran)

 

Yeah, I remember the silhouette, I just forgot when they showed it. I wasn't as active on the BeamNG site back then.

I still want any sort of skin for the T-series, doesn't have to be one in particular. It just seems odd to me that one of the most likely vehicles in game to have a logo on the door or a paint design of some kind doesn't have skins. And a little shameless self promotion, if you weren't aware I made a skin for the dry van so you can at least have that.

 

The T-Series does not support skins yet.

 

What if the devs made n official keRr?

 

You beat me to that actually. I had plans to make skins based on Snowman's truck, but since the T-Series STILL doesn't have a UVs, I was going to wait.

Kinda like what I said before, it feels like that if we want to finally be able to skin the T-Series, we'll probably have to do something to persuade the devs to make it possible. It doesn't make sense to me that the T-Series has gone so long without UVs, considering the possibilities of skins that could potentially be made for it.

That's one thing I have to admit I'm not happy about.

 

Looks like chasis twisting under power is now a thing. Two dev posts in 1 day is a good sign an update is near.

 

Are the T-series and the new Pessima the only ones without UV maps yet? Does the Pigeon already have them?

 

I believe the K-Series is the third one that still doesn't have one.

The Pigeon has had a skin UVs since 7.0. The LeGran got one just recently.

 

Yeah, that's right. Does the Burnside have them yet?

 

Yes. All of the cars but the T-Series, second generation Pessima, and the K-Series has them.

 

When did the LeGran get them?

 

Apparently with the recent update. Someone pointed it out that it now had one.

 

Even the SBR? Someone was complaining it didn't have one not too long ago.
