What if they somehow combined both. --- Post updated --- Like a major optimization across many vehicles and the terrain AND added a new car and some weather? Even if its simplified or static almost for now. There are ways to simplify complex things and retain the major factors in what make it realistic. It may be a little tricky but im sure they know how to pull it off. I hope they do a teaser today.
With all the work the devs have put into the graphics engine, its basically a proprietary engine at this point. Based on the clouds teaser and the release delay, I would bet on a big graphics engine update that would include volumetric clouds, smoke, fog, as well as a atmosphere and lighting overhaul. Maybe they have almost everything ready for release and want to delay to release all the engine updates together.
I recall reading that graphics improvements are/were waiting for a stable Vulkan implementation.. So is Vulkan stable enough now?
I've always wondered who's responsible for this stability: the Beamng developers? Or is it just the raw state of Vulkan itself?
Vulkan is much more low level than DX or ogl, it's harder to develop for and easier to have bugs, so vulkan stuff tends to be more performant but less stable (in most games)
I'm full led in my Jeep. Led Low's and Led Highs. I aimed them the best I could. I also have a light bar in the grille. You can't tell. It looks stock from the front. Not really my prop Because they all have discord to access the BeamNG discord. But they had their computers all on at once for the meeting on another app. I think BeamNG has remote team members all over the place, so the chance of everyone being awake and working at one time is a slim chance. So the meeting probably made them get up to attend.
