Update Speculation thread

I think it's because of the non-circular form of the tires. Many triangles compose the tires.

 

A Full-Size FWD Soliad Luxury Sedan with the 4.4l V8 (and a newer version of the 309CUI/5064cc V8) plus a Full-Size Burnside Luxury Sedan based on the Grand Marshal. Those 2 we miss too!

 

It's really annoying that you can't go 1-4 MPH without the whole car vibrating

 

Well i reckon that the update isn't coming out anytime soon(not going to lie its nice not having to update the game for 6 months)

 

Is that recent? I'm just suprised cause ots been like 5 months since the last update

 

Sadly so, 14 hours ago as of me posting this

However knowing the devs, This would be fire and worth the wait am not even sick of beam, I can understand the wait does seem way to long ( i admit this )

And i would love to get my hands on the coupe,

And yeah a TINY content update like a HOTFIX with i dunno a new config would tie us over,

The driverless pod only lasts so far,

Like I.E new Grill for one of the cars, A new Trubo. Shove a Diesel into legran ( as part of the vanilla content ) )

Just something VERY small. Like less then a snack, a Crumb,

BUT in saying that, I get it if they do not want to do this, due to then it drops it will be GREAT,


I think at this stage we have no idea, i think its multiplayer (i would still often use mostly single )

Or maybe the weather ( clouds ) are being a real hassle ,


SUPER unlikely maybe They becomeing partners with another company( if so what so )


be great if beamng could do work with CMS or work in dept more, SO you can pull cars apart with bolts and screws ( if you wished to do so ) BUT more cars would need way better textures and way more work for that,


with no hints other then teasers so long ago its kinda sad

2 GREAT To see Beamng player peak this weekend is good and stable I know does not mean much,


But yeah, lets hope the update comes soon ( TM as they say ) I think August to September. Witch would give us enaughh time for a Xmas update,


However it is possible the DEC update could be it for 2026, and in witch case i woul want it to be the biggist update in the history of beam,

BUT in saying even that, The devs are humans with needs and there own lifes


So update when ready

 

I do hope they give us some content in a hotfix, even if its just a lil gimmicky thing

 

Ok, now something strange is definitely going on. "Not gonna happen anytime soon" is starting to sound like it may not even be until the typical fall update time (mid-september) that we get the update. Considering we are well into May, and there's no sign of anything soon, I think a drop in June is becoming increasingly unlikely.

I am more curious than ever now though, as it's been years since there was this much time between updates. Avoiding burnout is one thing, and while that's probably something that is indeed going on behind the scenes, this is something entirely different. What can possibly be happening that has caused such a large delay. Either we're getting several new cars, an entirely new system, or something else. I'm....absoulutely fascinated....but I just can't lay my finger on what may be happening here.....

 

No. I've always installed power steering in cars before, but it's not always possible (especially in scenarios and career mode), so I tried to adjust the steering wheel so that it's suitable for cars without power steering. As a result, the driving experience has become as if there is a power steering in the car. The only problems are severe vibration and a very heavy steering wheel at low speeds (when the "reduce steering force when the car is parked or driving slowly" option is enabled)

I've always wondered why the game doesn't have a feature that automatically adds power steering to those cars that should have it. In general, there is a mod that does this. But this is a mod, it does not work in multiplayer, and there is no access to it in career mode or scenarios, because the mod is controlled through a widget. As I understand it, we have 3 solutions to this problem so far:
1) Use the mod with which you can change and add polygons for tires;
2) Use power steering;
3) Endure and cry

 

I think we need to go back and revisit some of these posts for clues as to what's goin on.

In all seriousness remastering some of the older wheels would be an easy way to beef up a minor update.

 

I do not want corners cut. I also do NOT want them to drag their feet for a decade when the world needs them and other devs to step up at full power and own it this decade. Thats just my opinion. I cant rush anyone and neither should anyone else. I just dont want slop updates or corners heing cut. I hope they do another teaser. I wanna see it so bad

 

I've been starting to think this update will be huge, and there's definitely something large that will be revealed soon. I do remember them saying they'll update us on what's going on; this honestly sounds so promising.

 

Honestly, I don't think we should expect some HUGE update, aside from the stuff we've already seen in the teasers. My bet is most of the complicated delay-causing stuff is happening behind the scenes, on the game engine side of things

There could be some extra stuff that hasn't been shown yet, but I don't think there will be that much content
