Yeah, had the curves of San Fransisco. Looks like we're getting a good graphic overhaul. (By overhaul, I mean optimization of a 2009 engine..)
The Halloween pack came the day before Halloween, the Christmas update last year came Christmas Eve, the Easter update came the day before, etc. I think it'll be the 23rd, if all is well.
Ok then I'm going to need to prepare my pc for when it comes out, because it will be cooking my toast if i try to play it
For some reason I'm not as hyped as for the previous update... Idk why since I think this one is going to be more usefull.
The Enable traffic thing seems pretty nice, but anyone like me with an AMD processor is... well, fucked. Hopefully this will be the first step in further optimizing the game for people without a high-end PC. The Limit steering at speed thing will be great for anyone who doesn't have a wheel or a controller. AFAIK, the reason many other PC racing games are so playable with keyboards is because of this fea I really don't think this has anything to do with a graphics overhaul, most likely just necessary details. As they've said, it was an experiment for urban (Crowded housing, tight streets, apartments, etc) environments, so I think these just might be the normal graphics in-game, just with more detail in the map.
To be fair, I don't know alot about the newer AMD CPU's, but I hear they're not bad, so they should be alright. If you're like me, stuck with an FX processor, then it's kinda fair enough. They are like, a good 5 years old now
Has BeamNG got any special disadvantages with AMD processors, or was that on the topic of "all amd processors are bad" ?
AMD pre-Ryzen is hilariously shitty IPC wise (even a Phenom X6 was faster than some FX CPU's), and BeamNG loves high IPC.
