I hope for a flat floor. Or a small cab (engine in the cab) and a high cab with flat floor. This might sound a bit strange, but will it have an electric version, assuming it's modern enough compared to the Renault Range T? Also, the new AVAS sound make it looks like the same AVAS on my hybrid car (Citroën C5 Aicross I).
Well, that one was a box truck variant. You can see it if you look close enough. Looks like we may get heavy and medium duty trucks under the same umbrella. Maybe the medium duty uses the 4 cyl, while the heavy duty semi tractor uses something like a 6 cyl?
It looks a lot like it was driven with a keyboard, although I don’t own a ps so I don’t know if you can connect bt keyboards. Excuse me if I’m wrong
iirc the PS4 was keyboard compatible so I'm guesing the PS5 is as well. But like obviously here its on dev kit I imagine.
I think this could be showing wheel re-sizing, but it's also just as likely to be a "troll" post (or a mod). That would make the most sense to me, since we have precedent for that (Mercedes Atego/Axor - the Atego has four- and six-cylinder engines, while the Axor only has sixes). I don't think it's guaranteed to be a Cherrier - the devs have made multiple vehicles that looked like they'd come from different nations than they were assigned (Hopper, Wigeon, Stambecco, Wydra, Aurata). The logo looked too different, and it's likely that it ends in U, and Cherrier doesn't have a U. The devs have never released vehicles from the same brand in back-to-back updates since the K-Series and I-Series. (There have been multiple cases of vehicles from the same brand releasing in the same update (SPs, Autobuggy/Stambecco, HT/WL), but that's not the same thing.) It could be under a new French brand (either a division of Cherrier or a wholly separate entity) - while that wouldn't be my preferred option, I'd be fine with it. We don't have any nations with more than two vehicle-producing brands outside of the US/Italy/Japan, and it'd be nice to have that changed.
I'm still hoping for a Swedish brand. It has been a long time since we've had a new brand and even longer since we've had a new country, and Sweden is a much bigger truck maker than France is. Not having an official Swedish entrant to BeamNG would be a missed opportunity to create a basis for Swedish cars. I also remember that teaser with the EU truck configs in a crown shape (like the 3 crowns of Sweden), but maybe I hallucinated it since I couldn't find it on discord.
Oh, I agree that a Swedish brand would be great to have. We had two missed opportunities for a Swedish vehicle with the HT/WL - would be a bit annoying to lose a third. But if this truck is going to be a French truck, I'd prefer it to be from another brand (and that would be more likely than it being a Cherrier, based on previous vehicle releases since 0.8).
I really want a Swedish brand above all. Like you said, there’s been several missed opportunities. Not to mention, we only have the one European wagon currently, and a Swedish brand would open up the door for a Volvo or Saab inspired wagon (which would be incredible) that being said, with the growing possibility that this is going to be a French truck, it’s likely going to be a new French brand of some sort. Most likely Cherrier-Affiliated (a subsidiary of Cherrier much like how Acura is a subsidiary of Honda is likely.). That would give us a lot of French content as of recent, too. I repeat my point from a bit ago that I wonder if a French map may be in the works at some point. It will be 4 years since Johnson valley this December after all.
I absolutely want this new truck to come from a Swedish brand. I think it's time for some world lore expansion. Not to mention that I'd absolutely love to see the unique driving and safety technologies applied by the Swedish in a BeamNG vehicle! Night panel, for example! Or having to put 1st before removing the key behind the gear lever (or, since this is a simulator and there's no keys, before putting the ignition in the "OFF" position)! Or roof pillars and crumple zones so tough that they're able to not even budge a roof or a bumper a tiny bit when rolling over or crashing into a Covet! Or having a backlit crystal gear lever (this is a chance of having a fictional Swedish company making crystal house decoration objects)!
If it is indeed a Cherrier, what was up with that teaser with the truck chassis in the shape of a crown? The French don't exactly have a great history regarding their monarchies, lol
Well, We have the T-series, and a Lore friendly T series Renault, They live T. Now this being said, Tin Foil hat ( tin Has T in it ) I think update will come on a Tuesday or Thursday, now Teaser has a T is it Like how T-dev does, Trust me ( also with a T ) Jokes aside, looks great, Im sure there will be more automatics? then the T-series being way newer? and i4 TD or i6?
