Update Speculation thread

Usually those are just reposts of things from the developer section, and are made for people who don't look at the forums often/at all. Convenient to have it all in one place though.

Although with an update supposedly nigh, there probably won't be another one before 0.12.

 

last year the only update after december was on april 14th and in 2016 there was one on march 16th and then april 29th so that will probably be around now to the end of april till' we see and update and we saw the repo in game so there is some online stuff so maybe we can expect multiplayer soon? maybe

 

Multiplayer? the game is a LONG way from being able to do that.

 

At most with the mp stuff would be better multiseat functions.

 

Maybe split screen

 

I found a way to do split screen but the same has to be ran twice so you have to have a insane pc my friend with a 1080 can't run it I have a 1050ti and if I try to run it it gets a bsod and that's what the devs said would happen so maybe if they make it and do some optimization it can be really good

No, thats not how its works, also it would use up all your PCs resources.

well its kinda hard to explain but its like multi seat but you can see the individual cars its just two exact copies of the game with multi seat enabled but you can have the game running on two different monitors so you can use each car individually but reflection break and its just a giant mess I quit trying to mess with it it just made me go insane

 

If that actually works I'd like to see what you have done, it's an interesting concept you have, one that has been suggested many times (including by me) but never worked.

Well MP could be good but Im afraid of some drivers i dont want It become like ets2

as of right now, MP is not possible. you'd need to send the position of EVERY node to someone else's computer.

And what's the problem with that? Replays works ok and doesn't take a lot of space. And replays are also made with MP in mind - it May or may not work, but that's what devs Say. It's possible with full collisions physics, and data transfer isn't a problem.

But there are way more difficult tasks that could eliminate MP with collisions or MP at all.

 

honestly, I think, if it was at all possible to make a splitscreen option, that would complete the local multiplayer system, and would probably be quite adequate.
