If that's the case, then they're awfully well-centered compression artifacts that don't occur anywhere else on the front of the bus (bear in mind that my picture had been sharpened as far as I could get it in photoshop). They also appear in the original image - where the only compression artifacts seem to be the blurry construction site in the background.
I wonder if the bus will have a CNG option like many American city busses have. Also, many big cities have a pantograph system for busses where they can connect and disconnect at will and become a diesel electric hybrid, but when connected are electric only. With the new Powertrain system, this could maybe be possible.
We might get another Toolbox mounted to the front of the Bed, as the mesh with textures is already in the files, It would look like this:
I'm going to make myself look like a massive hypocrite with what I'm about to say, but something changed that I think warrants some sort of discussion. So steamdb reports that there are now three branches to beamng, the release build, the qa build, and now there is a "qa stable" build. For the past two months, that build has been the same build as the public build, and it was finally updated a few hours ago. Meanwhile, the qa build, which is supposedly updated daily by automatic processes, hasn't been changed in 23 days. Theory/speculation: they update that build near release to ensure that everything is working one final time. All the systems are together and finished and they are just trying to avoid any bugs that could plague the release. For all we know though, the update could still be two weeks out, and I just have no idea how they do the qa stuff and I'm an idiot.
What if the bus is actually one of the vehicle concept list. I know that probably some people wondered this to but hey, someone had to say it
There was brief thought about that - but the shape of the apparent lettering on the front of the bus doesn't match any manufacturer on the list.
Sorry but the bus for campaign mode makes zero sense, what would be the point? You have no character model so what you gonna try and fit your pickup truck from utah on the bus? Idk I still think the bus is a waste of time and resources. As for the update speculation it won't be out for another 2 months at least and it will contain the bus and italy as its headline additions and it will be over hyped and most veterans won't even want to waste their data on it.
Considering there's no details yet, aside a screenshot from a newspaper, it's a bit too early to start criticizing / being so pessimistic, nuh? Also dislike that 'veteran' word. If you are here, you supposedly like the game, doesn't matter how long you been there, you all (still supposedly) share the same motive / reason.
You could just drive on the stet bus routes on WCUSA to earn money for a car. Bus is a needed addition to the game as driving heavy vehicles is quite a bit of time and driving a bus is way different than driving a truck (mostly by the seating position). Also players who just crash for no reason would at least have another heavy ramming vehicle.
Hmm. Let's see. 1. It can be used it in somekind stuntman mission. 2. Scripted/staged chase scene. 3. Something that we can destroy (duh) like in Utah campaign. 4. Just as background element. For example how many people were driving a bus in GTA? 5. More vehicles, more varied and believable locations. Other potential use: derby, derby race, drag race.
cmon man, wheres your spirit! it needs a 12-wankel rotary with 100,664hp! either that or two v8s meshed together to create a v16. or a w12. that would be cool aswell. actually, f%*&k all that, just give it rocket thrusters from elon's spaceships! DUH!
