Well, it's 4x bigger than current ingame maps, so yeah... I think you can make out the performance on it. But I REALLY hope they will improve the game engine performance before that
Italy will be the biggest official map, and is also the most vegetated, so it's probably going to be rough.
Comparing it to WCUSA, that map had tons of meshes. It will probably run like Small island map. Edit. nvm
Jokes on you, but Jungle Rock Island runs for me way better than WCUSA does... Even though JRI is like 90% vegetation
Well even if Italy gets some optimizations that JRI did, it overall just has more surface area and vegetation, so i doubt it will run as good as JRI unless some insane optimizations are done.
Not sure on why of the IF. That cannot be answered. It's like when people ask how an unreleased game would run on their system. The map is a WIP, therefore many of the things are just not final yet. And that's also similar when people ask if a game will be optimized. I believe that's what any developer with common-sense aims for. We will work toward making the map run as fast as possible of course. tl;dr performance questions on WIP maps are pretty nonsense
The point is worrying about performance is silly, the devs are well aware of the minimum specs they put for their own game
here's two questions for you (devs); 1. with Gabster's hand/wrist issue, who will / will anyone take over vehicle design & development? 2. may it be possible to one day see little updates every month or so, possibly featuring a few new parts, maybe for all vehicles or maybe just focusing on a specific vehicle each month?
the devs should hire @NinetyNine! because of Dev quality mods that 99 makes like the Bolide corse,ETK S-series,Miramar Z,Grand marshal coupe,Covet blitz,SBR4 facelift
He'd be working on new official content. And there'd always be that possibility that his mods could become official content too. I'd love to see the S-Series be promoted to official, because of just how high quality it is. And it's like the SBR4 in the way that it's a car that has its own identity.
They won't hire him... no one from the community for that matter, since that would cause havok of people being angry of that decision
If someone on the forums is genuinely qualified and submits an application, I don't see being part of the forums being a negative thing. I know of at least one current team member who was on the forums before becoming a team member.
Then yes, it would be fine, but if the devs themselves would pick a person without telling anyone... riots, man
If hiring someone from forum community would cause riots - that mean only one thing. Very immature and childish community.
