Update Speculation thread

Let's set that issue aside for a moment and try to figure out what Nadeox01 meant when he said "that genre".

Genre is defined as "...a category of artistic composition, as in music or literature, characterized by similarities in form, style, or subject matter." That's a pretty nebulous concept which could mean almost anything.

Heck, I can't even tell which sentence he was referring to. "Genre" doesn't seem to apply to anything he said. "Stable Results" is not a genre, and neither is "Big updates which include more work from us" - both are normal for Beamng updates. The sound system is mentioned, but he uses it at the beginning of the paragraph and implies that it was released mostly completed.

I'm going to put this down to a translation error.

I would agree for NinetyNine to be apart of the development team.
It'd bring quicker development cars and those of extremely high quality aswell.
And plus, when a car's in its beta stages, he can release it onto the repo until the car is fully released in an update.
It'd keep the community replenished with cars & mods

 

Personally, because he was mentioning big changes, I think that means there's something big that we don't know about.. not getting hopes up but I hope it's PBR or Career beta.

He may be talking about the bus, but that wouldn't make sense because most of us already know about it. He's talking about bigger as a genre, and the bus is bigger, so maybe. It's the only thing I can think of.

 

He mentioned sounds in that message, so maybe something there? Maybe something to do with airbrakes as the new bus will most likely have those, so that will make 2 vehicles equipped with them. Although, I'm probably over-thinking this.

 

here's some speculation: one of the custom siren sounds, number 6 specifically, has a particularly vintage sound to it. I wonder of at any point there is going to be an older firetruck/ambulance type vehicle.

EDIT: woops, it is used on the gendarmerie sunbutt.

 

Siren no. 6 is used in gendarmerie version for Sunburst.

Is sam still staff? I thought he had resigned, or I didn't see his tag on posts. ALso, iirc AR162b was (or still is) part of the team.

DrowsySam was staff for a long time.

 

I think one of the next update priorities is to fix the West Coast USA lag bug.
