Update Speculation thread

You expect a forum, where the average age of the users is 12-15, to have quality users?

There's having expectations, and unrealistic expectations.

should i pull a "hey guys, update is out" prank post or a "the Bug/discussion thread has been locked! UPDATE IMMINENT!" prank post? nah i'll just continue speculating. so we know about the Bus, but what else? I suspect an update is gonna be here within two months. but will it come out and rival SCS's 1.31 beta update for ETS2 and ATS?

 

1.31 is going to be awesome. They are also updating the mighty griffin DLC!

OT: BeamNG doesn't really try to "compete" with other games except for Next Car Game. I don't think it will be out at the same time as 1.31. Also, there BETTER BE AN UPDATE WITHIN THE NEXT 2 MONTHS! I have waited too long. Remember monthly and bi-monthly updates?

Ot: there is update every 3-4 month so you have to see when the last update (ignore 0.11.0.5 It doesnt count as big update) was released and then see when It can arrive

I see alot of updates around the 20th mark of the month. Maybe there will be an update around there this month since its been 5 months now.

I'm excited for the 8x4 chassis and painted grills. They will be going on my heavy haulage truck!

I think SCS focuses on Scania because Scania gives them licensing and works with SCS, and Scania is also the most popular truck.

OT: Maybe. They could just have been beta parts that were cut from the game before release.

 

with the R and S series, Scania gave them the license, making it 3 scania models in the game itself. I also hope we get a Might Griffon like DLC for ATS.

I feel like not releasing an update is bad by a development standpoint just because of the hype created.

 

the D series Tow truck has been in the files forever most likely won't be added next update due to part clipping and the tow hook unable to grasp the bottom of the vehicle

 

Uh... there is a functional connection point at the front of every vehicle. The things holding up the Tow truck are the lack of a wheel lift and the inability to secure a car's wheels to said lift.

 

Also there are no ropables yet.

 

yes but what about grabbing the vehicle from the rear?

 

That depends on whether or not they allow the tow hook to connect to the tow hitch. They could also add more connection points at any time - that's a fairly simple process.
