...almost rivaled by the American cars. --- Post updated --- This is what I think: Automobil Beantragen?
Here's a list of Italian surnames starting with "b": http://www.italiansrus.com/surnames/iscb.htm If it's Italian, it would be automobili + any of those. Or maybe "Automobili Bimengini"
Look at the reflection on the hood- it's definitely in Italy. Not sure if this means anything but an interesting thing to note.
I don't know why, but I'm getting Maybach logo vibes just from looking at the shape of the logo in the picture.
The only non-Civetta italian-based part currently in game is the knock-off of the multispoke Alfa Romeo Montreal alloy rim, as the Beta Quebecois...
Also... Nose + logo kinda reminds me of this. The rear-engined Renault Dauphine. Also built under licence by Alfa Romeo from 1959 to 1964.
Nope rhe beetle and type 3 didnt have a ridge on the hood. on the beetle the logo was on a completly diffrent place right in front of the windscreen wich doesnt look to be taking place here
The type 3 looks alot closer but still not 100percent as the rear doesnt fit at all my guess would still be on a italian car manufacturer or a french license built car. Something i just noticed is that the car looks somewhat similar to a renault 4CV with a boxer engine just look at it
Beetle only had the Wolfsburg emblem down there, on select models. Actual logo was at the base of the windshield. Typ-14 had just a little crease in the middle of the hood. If anything, it's closer to the Typ-34: Though I can think of a number of rear-engined cars with the logo in the hood ridge (see the Dauphine for example). Besides, ridge is pressed here, as you say, and splits into two character lines. Rear-end design doesn't match either of them, too. New car likely has integrated wheelarches, so it probably looks nothing like a Beetle anyway, but it's also too short to be a Karmann-Ghia knock-off.
