WOW i woke up. Went to play Automation ( no lie ) As a change from beam. Like always i said sad we can't drive these. Then i read the news i only read Beamng. I said oh yeah its the beamng page ( on Stream ) Then i read it. And i well yelled yeah boy! This will be insane. I Love BOTH games. Now there married. And i am over the moon. ANd there is a new Beam Hard crafted car the AB ( i think that's what's it called ) Beamng is going strength to strength. Now Automation is to. Thanks to Beam and vice versa. Lets get down to the nit gritts 1 Repo of Automation made cars. I do feel this may put off/saddn The mod Devs who make there own J-beam and mesh's. But i DO want to see these Automation on repo. Maybe it's own sub repo just for Automation cars ? 2 The crashes are export for you ( i Think ) The crashes as even admitted by the Automation team won't be as good as the hand crafted cars. HOWEVER they will still crash. And all the engine specs will curry over to beeam.ng So thats still 100% awesome
so this is basically the first time we had an official release date for a update just to speculate what else there will be in this update
or July 13th if you are in the states. OT: hopefully this increases sales of Automation. I will be getting Automation to create myself a good 1970s pickup.....maybe on 66s.
It already did as I bought it already thanks to this. I could of waited for a sale, but decided to support team bit more by buying before sale. I think that next BeamNG update will add some materials, we currently have iron and aluminum for engine block materials, but as Automation has also magnesium, that is ought to be added I guess.
To go along with the realism of Automation, could BeamNG.drive be getting an engine/suspension rework?
Nothing I can think of atm, but there's always room for improvement and Automation is much more realistic in terms of engine management.
More detail in engine modifications are always welcome; there’s always been requests for it but ever since N2O there’s been a lot. Engine sounds are also missing some aspects. I don’t know how automation does theirs (never played it) but it seems like every aspect of the engine has potential to change the sound, a system like that in BeamNG would certainly be cool if we ever get as detailed engine customization as this game deserves. As for suspension. I’m not sure what could be improved for the mechanics, but I’m still waiting for some Corvair inspired swing axle car because I’m sure it would be hilarious
