Just a normal hotfix but at least we have the full body of the AB car teased.

 

Okay - so the features include:

• coupe bodystyle (with "suicide" doors - a first for Beamng)
• left hand drive
  
• Inner headlights/foglights mounted on hood/frunk lid - may be for higher-trim models only
• front bucket seats & rear bench seat
• white (possibly light gray) interior
• 4-lug wheels (rear appears to be larger than front)

 

Wow, the new car looks fantastic.

I'm wondering if it could possibly be a fusion of the Fiat 600 and the Volkswagen Beetle. The overall appearance looks like the 600, but I still think the engine bay closely resembles the Beetle.

The old picture has to be of the rear then...

The central line in the body ends on the hood in the front. You can see in the old picture that the reflection is perpendicular to the ground, and it shows the body line.

Also, isn't it kind of weird that the car has a grille in the front even though it is rear-engined?

 

Probably just for cosmetics.

 

It could have multiple hood designs, like one with a lower middle part and no extra lights.

 

No, Its just a tiny badge or outline for decoration.

 

Have you driven new update with a steering wheel yet? Huge change how game feels, imo.

So new car is kind of Fiat with kind of VW motor in it, that might be sporty

We could also be looking at the trunk/rear hood of the yellow car.

Wow, we were all right! it looks to be a perfect combination of a volkswagen beetle type 1 and fiat 500/600, while still looking like a whole new design at the same time! great work team!

 

well, It seems I was reasonably accurate with my concept sketch:

 

Well, good news for the Bolide, it won't be the only Italian car anymore.

 

Well, I was wrong...I thought it would lean more Beetle than 500/600, but it looks quite a lot more 500 than Beetle to me. Still, though, it's a beautiful little car that we'll all senselessly murder objectively crash test when it gets an SBR4 engine swap (or even better, a Satsuma rotary swap).

I'm very excited to go drifting in this vehicle, as it'll be BeamNG.drive's third official RR vehicle (after the aforementioned Hirochi and the Wentward), and it'll probably be an excellent competitor to the Pigeon in the tiny-car class (and it'll be another pre-1970 vehicle, as well; something that I've wanted to see more of in BeamNG).

Nah, many air-cooled/rear-engined cars had things like that...the Renault 4CV was also an RR aircooled car, and that had a grille.

 

This VW Beetle/Fiat 600 mashup looks amazing, really cute and accurate to the real life 1950s/1960s economy vehicles of the time. I love small cars and I bet it will be really fun to drive it, too. And, as we're talking about BeamNG.drive, I can't wait to destroy it!
