    Definitely in next update, but ''close'' and ''upcoming'' means something between ''now'' and ''weeks''

    I don't think that campaign will be in next update, maybe in 0.8 or 0.9.

    Some paitings, garage mode and some other things, that is so far not finished. Wait for next update and we will see who is right.

    i just hope the optimization is the main focus at some point, so we can make beamng even more realistic :D

    They have obviously completed more than we think they have (unless you think they are robots and never sleep). Also it specifically mentioned in the something on the horizon devblog that there will be a campaign mode in 0.6 (the upcoming update) although it will highly likely just be a lite campaign mode. I hope the update comes in the next couple days but if it means waiting a bit longer to get some more content that is also less buggy and more polished, that's fine, it is their baby after all and they are in control of how it turns out.

    TBH I don't think game is ready now for campaign mode. I know they finished a lot of internal things and are going to add new features etc. Maybe improved optimization a lot but still they spent years polishing physics, game code etc to just rush campaing, doesn't make sense. And there are still lot's of things to do. Game will be rated by revievers by campaign, so it have to be as advanced, complex, variable, funny, challanging long but not boring as it's damn possible. It would be waste of their work and time ( not completely because we'll still have freeroam etc, they'll keep gained experience and improved tools to create new product etc). But looking how much effort they put in to creating single character visuals it doesn't seems that capmaign is that close and that's very very very damn good. I'd rather wait next 2 years to have it just perfect, than to have it now as unfinished part. When real campaing will be released in beta stage or anytime I'll not play it till full release, and I'll have to avoid forums, YouTube vids to not spoil the fun of it. I'd like to play it when it will be "bugless", polished without exploits and balanced properly (you know, parts/cars prices, rewards, opponents, times). So I'll not give any feedback from first camaping release untill full 1.0 release. I know that DEVs know what they are doing, and I can stay calm knowing how inteligent (that God damn mathematics and programming skills, and not only) creative, productive and their attention to details. It will probably arrive in 0.7-0.9 ( Beta stage ) update. But I'm also curious as hell how will engine tuning look like, will we be able to assemble it like in SLRR or even more advanced? Hah when you forgot about one bearing rod inside and you was sure that car is ready to go, went out of the garage and engine didn't started ah... that was sweet. Working with engine was the most entertaining part, and that's why I'm mechanic now actually :D + A/F ratio, camshafts weights or when you had very powerfull engine removing air filter gave you some more power etc. Or will we be limited to Engine xxx "stage 1", "stage 2", Turbo xxx "stage 1" etc. ? Will parts wear ? Nice thing would be ability to do swaps i.e. from D-15 to Barstow/Moonhawk etc.

    I'm on vacation right now, and I can barely run Beamng on my laptop, so I'm the only one hoping the update will come out like next week so none of it gets spoiled for me through the community screenshots thread. For once I'm hoping an update comes later that usual lol I don't know why.

    well lets just sit tight knowing that the next update will bring about a lot of nice changes, as a game in development, BeamNG is supposed to have a lot of bugs and issues (last update needed a hotfix within a day lol) so its not bad at all if they take some time to polish up and make it the best that they can :)
