Update Speculation thread

I wonder what the updated maps are going to look like.

 

Wait there’s going to be new maps?

 

No, but they did say in a previous blogpost that they are updating the older pre-existing maps to match the quality of the newer ones.

 

@DoullPepper is the one doing the overhauling work.

Four screenshots were included with the Italy preview; work continues.

 

I just hope they merge port with something else to make it bigger

 

I belive the Jargl DT825 is going to be Diesel Turbo 82hp 5.0l. A diesel Swedish midsized family sedan is awesome. I'm dying to see that as the next vehicle.

It's not going to happen, because barely anything came out from the concept list, and as stated before, Gabe already said to forget about the list.

Where did you get the idea of 82 horsepower though? Did you actually research or not?

 

78 hp for a volvo diesel v6 ...

 

Even with that, that is unlikely going to happen. There wasn't any single actual hint from the devs that would make the Jargl you mentioned next.

 

Volvo's only V6 was the PRV engine, developed jointly by Peugot, Renault and Volvo. It made roughly 130 hp without a turbocharger or other modifications, and ran on gasoline. Notably, a variant of this engine found its way into the DeLorean via Renault.

What engine, (or at the very least, what car) are you thinking of?

 

That's worse performance for displacement than even the most emissions choked cars.

Presumably you're thinking of the D24 inline-six diesel engine. While it was available in the Volvo 240 and did produce around 82 horsepower, it was a little less than 2.4 liters in size.

Funnily enough, this engine was actually designed by Volkswagen, but the only Volkswagen vehicle it found its way into was the LT, which was essentially an enlarged version of the Vanagon for commercial use. Volvo actually got more use out of it than VW ever did.

Apparently there were all kinds of shenanigans going on with license-built engines in eighties Europe. I think that the dev team should maybe try taking advantage of this - it could be an aid to getting a wide array of European vehicles developed at an accelerated rate.

 

What do you think the name could mean?

 

Why do you really want to speculate about something that might never happen (and is also from the concept list as well)?

What's the point of that though? It's not like they even HINTED anything about this Jargl coming to the game at all.

Also, I have no doubt you got the Jargl idea from the concept list, didn't you?
