It is not that long ago that it was clearly stated he is working:

I have no idea where @rottenfitzy has got such idea that he would of been discharged, but also I think it is not very cool to spread such rumors.

Furthermore persons health usually tends to be rather private matter and I'm not sure how nice it is to keep spreading such information around.

My point being here that perhaps it would be more good to think bit more before putting such things on public board?

The one that, unlike the Bluebuck, is a late 60s premium car?

The actual 1963 Impala had an I6 and two small-block V8s. Oh, and two big-blocks, but they were for the coupe-only SS model.

Okay, just to clear up some things:

Gabester is still an employee, but he stopped doing heavy work for Beamng. He isn’t developing new content, if I’m interpreting his micro blogs correctly.

Also, he hasn’t posted on the forum in forever. His last post was the first post in the Piccolina thread.

He’s technically still a dev, but he’s stepped down from hard development. He is, as you’ve said, managing the vehicle team, even if it’s a smaller commitment.

I didn’t mean to spread false rumors, if anybody thinks that that was my intention. I misspoke when I said he left, meaning he left as a vehicle designer, but not as a manager. I apologize for any mis-information I may have spread. I’ll edit my posts to make sure nobody quotes my stupid miscommunications.

Sorry @fufsgfen and @gabester for anything wrong I may have said.

    Post in September:

Also he was pretty open about him saying he had RSI. That information is totally public. And yes, you were right, I should have realized what I was saying was horribly misworded and should have been deleted far earlier than it was.
    --- Post updated ---
The devs usually post more than once a month, in my experience, especially when they are working on a project that the community has many questions about.

“forever” is too strongly worded, I agree. But he still posts far, far less than he used to.

    Edit: Whoops.

They might not have exposure to old cars in general (Autobello Piccolina says hi)...

That could be true, but the Miramar seems to be pretty accurate for the times.

You all can say they dont see those cars often because they dont live there, or are too old, but i dont think that they just randomly start work on a car, they always do lots of research before they start. I dont think having exposure to those cars really matter that much. Even though that would help, but the amounts of research they probably do is enough to make vehicles for the game.

I'd love to see a 30s American car or an 80s American minivan

Nah, I think another hotfix will be released soon. And the next proper update will likely be less than 6, I’m guessing 3-4

I never got that to work properly, maybe export the material so that we can look at the properties?

AFAIK the Burnside was quite a good representation of mid-50s cars, but the Miramar should have a bench seat and column shifter option, and the Moonhawk should have more V8 options and catalytic converters.

    It depends on the car.

That might be for when/if they add pbr materials, so it probably doesnt work yet, that's just my guess.
