Update Speculation thread

This is a month old, so there might be hope...

To be Honest, I would like the update to drop next Friday. It'd be the best Birthday present.

 

Just bought Dream Car Builder to kill some time.

 

I strongly hope that we see updated Small Island, USA, Port, and Industrial Site. That's it. Updating Derby Arenas but leaving the other three extremely old maps in their current form would be very inconsistent.


Upgrades for these maps have been confirmed back in November:

Hopefully they're just keeping them under wraps as a surprise.

 

I don't think those maps are being released in this update but in the next one. Three maps are enough for one update.

 

But why just have 3 when you could have more than 3?

I wouldn't really be surprised either way, if we got the 'bonus' map upgrades or not.

 

What gets me is the order though, back in November they said "The current priority is the oldest maps first, working up to the newer ones." East Coast, USA and Hirochi Raceway are newer than Small Island, Port, and Industrial Site. If what they initially said was true, we would have seen those maps first. Hopefully this might mean that we do see the three uncertain maps.

On a different note, the soliad wendover. What will they do with it. It is a coupe legran in a different class. Once the bluebuck comes out this i feel like this car may just be meh. What do you all think they will do with it? Add the sedan as alternate bodystyle? I dont think it will be bad but im not too excited for basicly a coupe legran.

 

I'm getting a bit skeptical about there being an update today. Tdev has been offline since 6:29 AM yesterday, and we all know that he must be online at least one hour before the update to post "The Final Countdown".

 

It is still 5 o clock in the netherlands so there is still hope

yeah, still 3 hours left till we out of the normal timerange for the updates

 

I'm with Fera, if Tdev was offline all day then... not this week. It's fine, it will worth the wait for sure

 

I remember 0.8 releasing really late at night, same with 0.7 (both in EST). My memory isn't the best, but we have seen updates later.

 

I'm pretty sure that they still went up at daytime in germany but then That may have been way back when I basically just got BeamNG cause I got BeamNG sometime after 0.7 came out I think and I didn't follow the updates that much back then

 

I remember the ETK I update releasing at aroung 9PM EST (and it's only 11 AM)

 

One thing to note is that this site does not record activity on the devblog as online. For some reason the Devblog is completely separate from the forums, and thus if a user goes to the devblog, their activity is not shown. Also, you don't use your forum account on the devblog. Therefore, tdev could be writing the changelog as we speak and none of us would know.
