Update Speculation thread

I've noticed that, contrary to popular belief, SteamDB slows down significantly before an update.

 

I have like school event today that might also be happening now and or maybe later so if everything hecks up today then I'd be happy with the update, other than that though I'm very hyped

 

I know but that's the quality assurance branch. It updates when the devs add something so they can debug it. There is no coloration between the QA branch and the public. You do get a nice heads up tho when they do put out the public build

 

Its not happening today, or for the rest of the week until Tuesday.

Why do you think so? I personally hope that the are going to release it today. Fingers crossed

 

Not the day right before festivities though.

Their offices are quite certainly closed now. If something goes wrong with a release later today, they wouldn't be able to do anything about it before Monday, unless someone works the whole weekend overtime...

 

I'm sorry but there are no festivities close by in this or the next week in germany

 

If the update doesn't come out today, and it sounds like it won't, I will forcefully exhale through my nose and put my headphones down on my desk aggressively.

 

If it was not going to happen today devs would have stept in to cushion the hype.

 

Tdev was last online 56 minutes ago, so there is a slight chance.

Nope. Deadlines to keep, more preasure on them, more expectations and spam on the forums.

 

We haven't received a update since the 23rd of May, and that was only the second hotfix for 0.16 which was released on the 3rd of May. Hopefully the update doesn't have "third hotfix" in the title...

And I doubt it if they will put the Bluebuck in the update, if you are asking.

 

The only update I've seen that was on a Friday was 0.16. That update wasn't too big. The main things were the eSBR, Italy improvements, and the new sounds. If I remember correctly there wasn't any huge game braking bugs. Just some small ones that didn't effect gameplay all that munch. 0.17 is looking to be a big update with (hopefully) a new car, map improvements, and some under the hood stuff. So my best guess is... no. No update today, like everyone else says. Maybe next week

 

Not in Germany, no.

15/08 tho is National Holiday in France and Italy. Also, quite a few european companies close at least for a few days in August for summer holidays - the coming week in particular.

 

I think @98crownvic is ready to forcefully exhale through his nose, and put his headphones on his desk aggressively.

 

I know of no companies here in germany that close for the summer holidays or the next week
