There's been a lot of talk about traffic, but to me, it just doesn't seem plausible that it could be in the next update. Don't get me wrong, I love the traffic tool, and I know Gamergull was brought onboard as a dev, but I think to really refine traffic, there'd be a lot of work to be done. It still does some pretty goofy things, such as in WCUSA, driving down the wrong side of the highway, et cetera. I wouldn't necessarily take a lack of news as a sign of it being worked on, but maybe the opposite.

On the map upgrade front, I hope that we still see the Port, Industrial Site, and Small Island, USA improvements shown back in November. JRI really needs work, but I'm not getting my hopes up for a 0.17 remake of it.

    On the vehicle re-model front:
Autobello Piccolina - New enough that it probably does not need a remodel
Burnside Special - Not remodeled yet
    Bruckell Moonhawk - Remodeled
Bruckell LeGran - Not remodeled yet
Civetta Bolide - Not remodeled yet
    ETK 800 Series - Remodeled
ETK K Series - Not remodeled yet
ETK I Series - Not remodeled yet
Gavril Barstow - Not remodeled yet
Gavril Grand Marshall - Not remodeled yet
    Gavril Roamer - Remodeled
    Gavril H Series - Remodeled
Gavril T Series - Not remodeled yet
Gavril D Series - Not remodeled yet
    Hirochi Sunburst - Remodeled
    Hirochi SBR4 - Remodeled
Ibishu 200BX - Not remodeled yet
    Ibishu Miramar - Remodeled
    Ibishu Covet - Remodeled
Ibishu Pessima (Gen 1) - Not remodeled yet
Ibishu Pessima (Gen 2) - Not remodeled yet
Ibishu Pigeon - Not remodeled yet
Ibishu Hopper - New enough that it probably does not need a remodel
Wentward DT40L - New enough that it probably does not need a remodel

On the traffic front - The Traffic Tool was already completely operational once Tdev hired Gull to join the development team. During this time they have been working on improvements as the core functionality was already in place when it released. Nadeox did post this video back in May. Very recently, Gull updated the traffic tool to be compatible with the official version, hinting at a release in the near future. Hopefully the new AI is released alongside traffic, and the traffic system is far more fleshed out and polished than the mod version. If the official version is completely identical to the mod, I will be very disappointed. I see the mod as a proof of concept, and I strongly hope that the official version is much more polished.

The only other slightly possible thing to come out of the woodwork would be the UI improvements, of which we have heard no news for a while.

It doesn't have to be dropped in a complete state. It's been worked on for awhile now and the traffic mod works alright as is, there's a chance we will at least see some basic features.

I doubt that the update will be out in a few days, I think it will take anywhere between a full week or two before we either get the update or more progress photos/videos. While the maps that have been reworked look marvelous, like Crimson Crocodile said, there has to more to this update than a new vehicle and updated maps.

I would like to see a box standard Traffic Tool of sorts, and or planetary gravity that has been posted in the Development Media section of the Forums. I can guarantee this upcoming update will be just as good as the others in the past, with constant fixes, additions, and tweaks.

I believe planetary gravity has been in game for a while now, but it has to be manually enabled.

Career mode likely isn’t coming for the next couple of years.

Well in "A Small Car on a Big Map - Version 0.15" devblog they said "Thanks for the awesome year 2018, on to career mode in 2019!" so maybe we will get a bit of it

Just for clarification, the update will most definitely come out this month as the devs are trying to bnring updates every 3 months currently and the last update was 3 months ago

Im going to do some speculation about the K-Series.
Isnt it odd that while the other ETK cars get more features and ever a remodel, the K Series still looks like the day it was released? It didnt even receive the updated gague cluster that the 800 Series got. Im thinking that whenever the K-Series gets updated, its going to get more than just a simple revamp. I also remember hearing about a V10 for that car somewhere in the game files.

I think all of the ETK's have badges and misc. files for other engine options, and both modern ETK's have suspiciously large engine bays compared to their largest current engine options.

The K-Series certainly is short on options compared to the other 2. I've been saying for ages that car should have a high end option with active aero, aggressive body kit, and a big engine.

I dont think the 800 is getting larger engines. Its a Family wagon, not even a sedan. For the K-Series, it would make a lot of sense.

If the K-Series gets some I'm sure the 800-Series will. They are similar cars and IRL the AMG wagons and the Panamera are fairly popular considering the segment on the whole is dying.

I would say fixing the existing AI nodes before trying to work on the AI itself. The only map i can nicely play with AI vehicles Is Italy.
    (Mods not included)
And then just try to make the system for manual more user friendly, im happy with it how it would be for other upcoming updates.

Oh, and about the maps, i really hope they will merge port and industrial, like what they wanted to do in the first place. Port is just way too small and industrial misses a few things.

Uhm... whoever said that the Career Mode isn't coming until "version 1.0", that doesn't make much sense. Who would wait until jumping the version number that far before implementing a major feature which needs to be tested, updated and refined for another few months at least? Not to mention, that's not the only feature missing from the game. I'm sure devs have a long list of things they would like to try to add for a complete BeamNG simulation experience, and if Career Mode is planned to be made this year, then most of them could not possibly wait until the game is (close to getting) out of Early Access.

I think I've said this before, but if anything, Career Mode would probably be a feature in 0.18, if it isn't in 0.17, and I kind of think this might be the case; remastered maps and vehicles, World Editor 2.0, some (if not all) of Diamondback's revised driving dynamics, in-game vehicle skeleton "observer"... those are my predictions for notable features and content in 0.17. But devs always surprise us, so who knows?

You honestly think career mode will be a thing before the end of this month?.. Even though there hasn't been a hint of it in awhile and there's things that should come first, like the new UI.

The game is in alpha right now. Adding something as huge as career mode, no matter how far from complete it is when we get it, should be significant enough to bring the game out of alpha, which is a fair time to reset the version numbers.
