http://www.beamng.com/threads/online-scenario-records.30464/#post-444441 Something like online leaderboards are planned!
We ran into some problems with the LeGran, requiring a lot of the mesh and texture work to be redone, so that's why you haven't seen any screenshots yet. It's in-game, but there's still a lot of mesh and texture work in progress right now.
I'm not exactly sure, but if the LeGran is going to be something like this http://wiki.beamng.com/Bruckell_LeGran, then it's very similar type of vehicle to Ibishu Pessima (old).. there are plenty of sedans, I was more hoping for vehicle we dont have in the game already
The pessima is more of an economy family car, whereas the legran is just a "cheap" semi-luxury car, they have many differences.
Ehh probably more similar to the GM in terms of suspension but with front wheel drive and a weaker engine.
You probably don't know much of cars like the Legran and the GM,they are mile's away from being similiar and neither are they're suspension's same.
The legran will most likely be several hundreds kilos heavier than the pessima like most american cars with a low revving and more torquee engine with minimal horsepower and floaty suspension plus low grip to go with it.
I think he meant similar suspension tuning, the LeGran will have soft suspension much like the GM, except it's probably going to have struts in the front and some kind of trailing arm setup in the rear (The GM has double wishbone front and live axle rear).
I believe Gabester stated that the reason there are a lot of similar sedans is because originally Beamng was going to be focused mainly on demolition derbies.
Oh, that'd make sense. Dumb fact: Did you know that the '58 Imperial was banned from Derbys and Banger races because they'd smash all other cars?
Yeah. Extremely tough and heavy, so they would ram anything out of the way without getting scratched. They pretty much were the ultimate cheat code in the '70s Banger races.
right now, i wonder who will release first: Rockstar and the supposed Biker DLC update or Beamng with 0.6.2 or what ever they decide to call it (I'd call it 0.6.2 instead what it'd probably be, 0.7.0)
Thought that was the '64-'66 models. And yes, they were wicked tough. They'd kill the occupants in a single car accident, of course, but in a multi-car accident (such as in a demolition derby) the entire other car was the crumple zone. The '67 and up models might be pretty tough too. Come to think of it, a restored, modernized Imperial might be a good choice for anyone who thinks they might be in physical danger due to their occupation or activities. Refined, classy. and tough as nails. Given its overall strength, the chassis can probably support a lot of armor too.
aka tesla with an extra roll cage inside giant front hord plow thing and laminated and reinforced glass all round
Would probably be able to drive around with heavy armor on it. As long as you put Brembo calipers on it, that is. A.k.a. destroyer of worlds. What you're saying could probably win against a Scania S730 in a head-on collision.
