I Would Love if it was A Timeline Like Starting In 1950s To 2020s Like Learning About The Backstory of Each Car And Automaker. Plus The Stuff you Just Mentioned. and Time Period Racing. Like 60s Racing
In an interview with TDev done by a local paper (in November 2017?) he said he wanted to get career mode out around now, and the 0.15 changelog ended with a statement "looking foward to career mode in 2019". I'm still skeptical since there is a lot of work needed to get any form of playable career mode (UI, AI, etc...) --- Post updated --- Personally I would have career mode as a more traditional game story line picking up after A Rocky Start with other plots/timelines introduced under the campaign tab.
the seting of the game depends on the map itselve and im hapy not having to many modern cars because the have no varety and les and less individualety evry car loocks and feels the same the cars in the past had all completly different characters and i hope they set even more on that therm so like you need to pill the chocke or pump the gas so fuel gets into the carburetors old cars had a whole individual start up procedure and the shifting needs to be careful with double clutching and stuff tose are way more interesting to drive and an experience The Augeria Heron mod was such an example you need exactly to shift at a specific rpm uneles you would damage the transmission sadly this mod is outdated and dont work anymore...
Such detailed procedure would need to be an option. (Not on by default) I, for one, think that a system like this would add a great deal of unneeded difficulty to the average casual player, and would be super annoying to someone trying to just sit back and relax with their favorite game. On another note, we desperately need more modern cars. Frankly I don’t care if they’re not “ interesting” to drive (interesting meaning you need a PhD in mechanics and thirteen years of apprenticeship in a Siberian mechanic shop to drive the thing), and they’ll add a much needed and realistic diversity to traffic. I’m not saying we need a bunch of mundane, overdesigned crossovers left and right but rather a broad spectrum of modern cars.
Of course should it be an option like the arcade transmission to simulation transmission shifting ability per key binding that is alredy ingame ore direkt in the options like the preheated car selection. and for the greater varity in general the cars especialy from the 2000-2010 cars are lacking only the sunburst is from that era (i think it from 2009 or so) And Pre war cars arent in at all the burnside is the oldest car ingame from the 50s
Nah man, you don't get it. Modern cars are boring because they all look the same! Not to say any of these are bad cars, in fact I quite like all of the cars I posted pics of. It's just that styling trends have always and will likely always be a thing in the car world. I personally prefer the older cars aswell, styling wise, but I don't believe that the amount of variety within automotive segments is not much different now than it was before.
Not sure. They didn't do a Christmas mod last year either, so seasonal events may be a thing of the past.
Of course the Heron was a all time favourite for me and a lott people especialy the grade to detail was awsome it had double clutching moded in with a special script and a hand gas for idle adjustment (can also be used as an early version of an manual cruise control) ybr made a great video about that mod it was so awsome to drive :,) im glad that i have a quik fixed version so it drives at least but a lot of the original features are broken And to the crashing of the cars of that time period all cars where literaly soapboxes on a ladder no savety at all the steering colum would smash trough your chest and the engine of the most part was bigger than the rest of the car with high torque and literaly no hp per liter the Heron was buy the way based on an Bentley 8 litre A realy beautiful car https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bentley_8_Litre
I know the dust has mostly settled, but I'll chip in on the controversy: I understand the appeal of modern cars in BeamNG. They help to make the game feel more current, especially with the newly-implemented traffic feature. Plus, the crumple zones, which in reality make any collision involving them less violent, cause them to crush and fold in satisfying ways. And career-wise, they'd be a solid mid-tier option. Not rare, fairly high-performing for reasonable cost, with good suspension, etc. relative to their distant predecessors. No surprises, but no out-of-the-box need for elbow grease. What I don't understand is the people who want five, six, eight, ten modern cars. At this rate, we may get two or three more cars before release, and probably a few after that. The next few vehicles should be as diverse as possible in all ways, including era of origin.
