i think that skin would be perfect for the career mode, they maybe keep this skin for the career update
The next vehicle will not be the Wendover, it has been said. There are a few various implications to gather from this statement... In the blog post for 0.17.1, it was mentioned that the D-Series, H-Series and Roamer would be receiving their own round of "remastering" (in the case of the Van and Roamer, which were already given superficial tweaks in 0.16, it will be a "phase two" thing) which involves being able to separate the vehicle's shell from its substructure. This, in a way, could collectively be seen as a group of "new vehicles". It has also been shown that the Hopper is getting some beastly powertrain enhancements and various new parts beyond that. This could also be considered a "new vehicle" in a sense. Realize, however, that there was no mention of any new vehicle, or if the "next" vehicle will be included in the 0.18 update (which, by the way, I am pinpointing on the week ending 28 December as a very likely period for it to drop) but if I had to guess, based on what little I can gather, it would have to be either a relatively modern car (perhaps an early-to-mid-2000s saloon) or an obscenely old car (dating back to even before the Piccolina) so that it doesn't feel too close for comfort to the other three cars announced this year (the Bluebuck of the sixties, the Wendover of the eighties, and the eSBR of the present-day).
I never said a specific date. "The week ending 28 December" is encapsulating the "peak" of this upcoming Christmas holiday. Releasing the update within that week or the Friday before makes quite a lot of sense for a few reasons: Major updates for the game typically separate each other by at least four months. Giving a slightly longer timeframe will allow the developers to dedicate more time toward quality assurance, so that the update can be as stable as possible. Updates developed on a relatively fast track (like the 0.17 update) might roll out in just three months. By using that logic, American Thanksgiving could also be an applicable date on or around which we could expect the update to roll out. However, the developers expressed their interest in the blog post for 0.15 to bring Career Mode to the table this year. If that is to be included, along with the refined user interface in which the feature will be implemented, then a "fast track" update doesn't seem all that likely. The update would be the best Christmas present since the 0.15 update (which was released on 20 December, exactly the same date as the aforementioned Friday, actually X3). The developers deserve a few days off for being so awesome. What better time than during the holidays?
Most likely the week before (ending with Saturday 21th) since the week ending with Saturday 28th has all the Christmas festivities therefore the offices may be closed. Italy was released on 20th of December, I'm expecting the same date this year (which coincidentally is a Friday, typical day for BeamNG updates).
I feel that this has been said, but the devs are holding off on the official towtruck until proper rope physics are added.
IMO it should be also added to the Pickup, it has a rusty skin that is way too exaggerated --- Post updated --- Well in reality it will be awesome to have it in every car, I love beating the crap outta them haha If I knew how to do them...
Probably just pointing out that the picture he quoted has a mirrored image of the Pontiac, so the badge reads backwards
I would honestly like to see a barstow updated to have bluebuck engine variants, such as twin carb or dcoe carb. Nothing much, just to give a little life back to the barstow,as it hasn't had anything done to it in a while.
time to see if the next BeamNG update is released next Thursday or not. mainly to coincide with SCS Software's American Truck Simulator Utah DLC
As much as I love BeamNG & the team, I don't think they have anything to take on a huge game like ETS2/ATS content wise. Yes, BeamNG gets regular updates with content in each one of them, but it isn't enough to match what SCS does with their games that give you a huge map to explore, multiplayer, lots & lots of mods etc. Obviously, I know the reason for that is that BeamNG & ETS2/ATS are totally different games, on different engines & different aim for the games (altough boths are sims). If making mods for BeamNG would be more or less as easy as for those games, then BeamNG could theoretically battle ETS2/ATS in popularity or the fun factor, but as of right now BeamNG lacks quite a bit of stuff that would allow it to be on the same level content/gameplay-wise. If they will release the update on the same day as SCS, then yes, they will probably get some attention, but it still will be overshadowed a lot by the trucking sims' DLC
Since this update will remaster Utah, I hope all the vehicles will now have beater/junkyard configs because mostly deserts have a lot of barn finds. (Well, from what I've seen.)
As someone from Northeast USA, it always amazes me how many classic cars can be seen in random fields when I'm out of state. It would be cool to get some Utah themed cars, I'll take any excuse to get more vehicle content. As I say every update, split the "abysmal" cars into proper classes. Beaters, proper dirt racers, and... Whatever you want to consider the Horrible/Miserable/Terrible/Awful... Maybe keep them as is and add a cleaner version of them as "off-road" cars à la the Off-Road Sunburst. As I mentioned when the Hopper crawler was revealed, the D-35 pig should get updated with some of the crawling parts from that. May as well make the D15 Marauder and H15 Vandall more unique too.
Yeah, here in Kentucky I see a lot of abandoned cars. Definitely check out Somerset, it's the "car cruise capital of Kentucky". Lots of nice cars in that town.
Fields no but peoples driveways and woods yes (I'm also talking about "they have been there for so long the tires are deflated).
