Can I just say that I think "Jargl" is a really stupid name? Every other in-brand name at least sounds vaguely like one or two brands of its country (Bruckell, Ibishu, ETK, etc.), but what part of a toddler trying to say "charcoal" sounds like Volvo or Saab? I would love to see a Swedish car in game, due to my love of Saabs, but calling it a "Jargl" is a turnoff for me. Autobello was a stretch for me, but even that doesn't bother me as much as this does. Granted, it's only ever made one appearance on the concept list (which I refuse to believe has, or has ever had, any actual relevance) with no mention of it after that. But if someone asked you what car you drove, would you really want to say "I drive a Jargl Squit?" It's even less believable than calling a car "Pessima," which by now I'm sure everyone knows is Italian for "very bad."
Well, the list was a list of concepts, so we know those names at least got thrown seriously. Personally I'm fine with the Pessima and Autobello as names, but Jargl Squit is certainly too weird for me.
There's plenty of model names that have been unfortunate, but "Jargl Squit" really is pushing it even considering some of those. For all we know, the front quarter of the car isn't even modeled yet.
yaaa the jargl is gonna be a fuckin 4-door avanti jokes aside, I hope cliff or jri is getting redone next
I sort of agree. Did you know that 'Volvo' is some sort of Latin derivative that means 'I Roll' ? Maybe someone can come up with a sort of 'acronymish' word for 'I Roll' or 'I Drive' or something but with Scandinavian language to it ?
I don't really buy into the idea that coding being put in for electronic suspension components necessarily means that the next car is going to be modern - Diamondback is always messing with things like that, sometimes solely to allow room for modders to create things. In any case, I went back to the devblog and noticed something - WCUSA appears to be getting an update to its pavement textures. Take a look at the crosswalk on the left, and also the wear patterns on all the turning movements in the intersection.
I hope that some of the older gameplay bits get updated soon. Bus routes could use something to make them more interesting (traffic, wilhelm scream if you do something extreme, etc...) and A Rocky Start has some issues (The useless reward system, the races are way too eager to fail the player if you're still for even a second (which is super frustrating because I love toying with the AI but it's difficult to wait up for them or even turn around if I get spun out as they go back onto their route), etc...). Personally I would replace the bus route tab with something more generic so a taxi and general delivery mode could both be added to that and I would put light runner and procedurally generated tracks both as subsets of the quick races, and make a proper game mode out of that WCUSA flow graph sample scenario. Maybe we will see at least some of these when we get that new UI that we haven't heard about since August 2018.
Adaptive dampers, active diffs, that stuff would make something like 911 GT3RS and alike very possible to create. One could speculate that modern super/hypersportscar might be on their list for some point, at least such systems would allow creation of such.

Hmmm, a V10.......... Modern-ish car...... American...... Yep, i have concluded what the new car will be.( you do have to put in the doug demuro voice yourself.)
Why would it be American? Either way, there are the Ford and Dodge V10 truck engines. --- Post updated --- Eh, it could as well be an M3-esque variant of the 800-Series. If this is for a new car, it could be something like a faux-Touareg, or maybe a faux-Range Rover (Terrain Response, anybody?)
I guess because a V10 and an I5 sound similar so everyone started thinking we could be getting a V10 instead, I guess.
