They literally stated that they were taking a few more weeks to make sure that 0.18 didn't break mods. Stop thinking you know everything about the game, most of us know a lot more than you do. If you're going to make claims provide sources.
Sometimes breaking existing content (ours as well as mods) can't be avoided if we want any progress at all. You'd be surprised how much time we invest in trying to not break things... It would be a much easier and cheaper way for us to simply not care and yell some "it's early access, live with it" at you, but we deliberately choose not to do that.
What is that really bothers you? You are not normally so annoyed by anything, so it sounds like that something is not alright, would you like to discuss of what really bothers you?
I'm not gonna lie with age comes wisdom, yes I've been having a very bad day I'm just going to stop posting...
Sometimes those days come, but you know, we all are people, we all get those days and sometimes we get better days when we can support to those who have bad days, so I wish your tomorrow is awesome
Honestly this might be off topic a little bit but... Seeing how hard you guys work on your projects is kinda motivating to see. Its nice having hard working developers and it inspires me to become a better person from time to time. I prefer taking the time to make something good instead of shitting out content every month and the content not being that great as a result. Quality work requires time.. Thanks for the hard work you guys are putting in this game <3
Sorry you've been having a bad day. Hopefully, you will feel better soon. Anyways, I'm glad the devs are working hard to make sure that there aren't any bugs with this update. That just shows how awesome the devs are =)
I wish people would stop referring to updates as "disappointing." A, we don't even know what's in the update yet, and B, updates bring new content and features, I don't get how that is at all disappointing.
Why everyone answer to JJscoobs's post or say that the updates is going to be bad ? It just give a bad atmoshpere to the forum We should be happy because an awesome modder got hired by beamng
I think some people consider updates disappointing because they expected more content from the update then they got or they were just disappointed in general. I guess people have to right to consider updates disappointing if they want to. If it makes you feel better, at least 99% of the time. I do not consider updates disappointing at all.
I still think there's a lot more to the upcoming update than just the new Hopper parts, Gavril remasters, Utah remasters, and the new graphic changes. I still think there's a possibility that we might see the following. More map remakes (Small Island, Port, Industrial Site, Jungle Rock Island, ETK?, and the first three are already confirmed to be WIP) Traffic changes and upgrades (New feature, Gull said he was going to make changes based on community feedback) Career Mode framework (They said that 2019's focus was career mode, so who knows?) More built in game modes like WCA's drag racing And of course the usual amount of bugfixes, new parts, and small new features.
They have had open position for content creator, so I guess ninetynine could be filling that position? They are also hiring community manager / support person, which is kind of what Nadeox1 has been doing, perhaps he has bit much of work to do? Jalkku and Masa are no longer staff members though, there can be other changes too, but in such software projects amount of persons needed on different areas can change during development so people can be doing a project and not being constantly on payroll. WCA's drag racing might be part of career features actually, wouldn't be too far off to think you would get to drag race in career
Alright, here is a picture of all the options for road sign props. Those are the options you have for road sign props currently. I think there should be more options for these props like SPEED LIMIT 15, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, and 75, plus left and right curve bend sign props. I also think there should be European km/h signs as props you can spawn. They should not be in game immediately when you spawn the level, but you should be able to spawn them from the vehicle menu. I'm sorry if I sounded rude. I am aware the the devs don't have to do anything to the road sign props if they don't want to. I personally think they should update the road sign props at some point in the future, but that's just my opinion. By the way, I think the rock props should get an update as well since it looks like the Utah rock textures are changing. Also, does anyone think that the devs should add a traffic light prop at some point in the future? --- Post updated --- UPDATE: Here are some dead ends I want to briefly talk about. Okay, the first 3 shots are on West Coast USA. The 4th shot is on Hirochi Raceway and the 5th shot is on Derby Arenas. I feel like something needs to be done about these road blocks and dead ends in a 2020 or 2021 update for BeamNG Drive.
In BeamNG maps, as well as most open-world game maps, most dead ends are designed to hide the edges of the map to make it look more realistic. The only other viable option (except for procedural generation like Minecraft, which wouldn't work for a game like BeamNG) is to make the map an island. This is why landlocked maps like Utah, Hirochi Raceway, and WCA (half of it at least) utilize a variety of tricks to prevent you from getting to the edge. Examples include Utah's collapsed bridge, tunnels that loop back on themselves (seen in Utah and WCA) and the abundant construction barriers, usually with an excavator. If the physical barriers preventing you from exiting the map were removed, the illusion would be shattered. Additionally, you have to remember that in real life dead ends are a thing. The road in the second picture doesn't look that out of place to me. I think the one in the first picture does seem a little strange, but you could easily say that the metal guardrails were put in place after that road was made, and they didn't bother to remove it.
