Good to see somebody keeps this essential mod up n running. Keep up the good work cant wait to get an update so i can use it again!
Another detail Cars that doesn't have animated shifters, like the Semi, the Scintilla and the Vivace, will keep their DCTs, since the static shifter is not a problem on them, although, I'll add the "fake" DCT versions as Automatics, since you may like how they perform. So now, the Scintilla will have a 7 speed automatic transmission with the same gear ratios as its DCT, as well as the Vivace with its Petrol and Diesel DCTs
This is the fixed version (at least for the automatics). Please report any issue so I can try to fix it.
I give feedback once i get home. Much obliged! --- Post updated --- Final Statement! You sir are a legend! It works flawlessly. The only thing you need to tweak is the covet 4-spd auto shiftlogic since its the same as the vanilla one(probably due to the remaster) besides that its awesome very good work.
The seperate torque converter autos you added for vehicles that dont got bothered with animated shifters work reeaaaaallly well to. The Scintilla for example gets the opportunity to be a really smooth high end convertible cruiser with that trans you did a hell of a job! I really hope you can keep that mod running in the future i really like your work and without that mod i couldnt really play the game anymore as i mentioned the vanilla autos are horrible. I mean the vanilla DCTs dont even creep forward when releasing the brake. Anyway thank you so much for the update and i hope you can fix the Covet 4-spd auto so it will have its modded shiftpattern back on the mod trans. Have a good one!
Actually it uses the mod shiftlogic, since it has the W mode. On vanilla you don't have that mode. Probably there's other mod that bugs the shifters
Shifter is fine but i thought the shiftlogic is untouched since it it the only vehicle that behaves just like vanilla with the modded trans. I tried it with all mods besides this one off but still no luck. Is there a possibility to copy and paste the 200BX transmission into the covet? It behaves much better and should have enough Torque to handle the earlier shifts.
That's weird, I kept the same stats it had before the update, maybe the new engines lack the torque to early shift. Although I Added the Coupe Stats, so it should be less of a slushbox. Just replace the file with the same name on your mod.
I give it a spin and will give feedback later! --- Post updated --- Worked like a charm, much obliged. Do you plan on keep fiddleling with the DCT problem or do you let it be what it is for now? The workaround autos you made work good.
Another thing i´ve noticed is the Scintilla drives really sluggish if you start driving in first gear. Idk if that has something to do with the DCT problems you said but it shifts fine only it starts very sluggish and revs very high when you start rolling and apply minimal throttle to get going. so far i´ve only noticed it on the Scintillas DCT.
This slippy behavior is the result os trying to keep the rpm high on launch control. Anyway, I'll take a look.
I just thought i felt unusual i dont wanna annoy you. If i had the slightest knowledge of how this mod works it would try to assist you as i said its important to me but i possess no modding skills whatsoever.
Thx, i give it a spin later. If it dont annoy you i´ll let you know if i find anything out of the ordinary. Have a good one!
Just noticed the Scintilla still revs pretty high when rolling off even with gentle throttle application. Is it possible to fix that by lets say beef up the clutch a little? Idk how this stuff works just try to give feedback. Oh and it still has problems to shift when launching from standing. But from what i´ve been reading here this was even back in Default Players times a problem so who knows whats wrong with that. Anyway hope you can make it happen! Cheers.
That's a trade off for letting the clutch slip a little when using the launch control. If I don't let it slip, the two step becomes useless, since it engages too quickly, you get wheelspin and the traction control cuts power.
Shame this cant be disabled for different drive modes. It shouldn´t be a thing in Comfort Mode when you just wanna cruise around but hey it works.
