1. New menu isnt organized at all. Parts that have slots under them should be at the bottom, like it has always been, its just easier to find stuff that way. 2. Also I much preffered the old color selection with the RGB color picker being at top with the color parameter sliders being always visible right under. Current one is not very convinient at all. 3. I would also like to point out that the new radial menu is overdone and overly complicated for no reason. Comparing the new one to the old, the old one wins in simplicity and easier navigation. This is my feedback, others dont have to agree but I find these aspects to be super annoying and I would gladly appriciate if they were changed, the first point especially.
I really don't like that the new parts selector search bar doesn't search part names be default, but only categories. Eg. searching "race" used to pull up race exhaust, race intake, race coilovers, etc. It made quickly making configs a lot more convenient. Having to type in partname: every single search feels inconvenient, I'd like it if there was an option to make that the default behavior.
this is like the bane of my existence, i asked stenyak if this was fixed and he didnt know (i dont have the update yet, have to redownload game lol) they fixed the new ui not having old ui feature by making it unnecessarily complicated

i dislike the new radial menu i mostly used it for quickly removing a car i no longer was going to use but now that feature is buried under menus and the radial menu no longer even pops up when you hit escape its like the new touch screens in cars its supposed to be nice but it buries important things that use to be easy access under menus
The new radial UI has COMPLETELY broken the gamepad controls. respawning a car with the dpad does nothing anymore and just opens the radial menu. even trying to respawn via the keyboard pressing R opens the radial menu too. I hope this is just a bug but its REALLY annoying
The new UI is complete trash. Worst update ever. Please at least give us an option to go back to the old one. I beg you.
I'll quickly reply to this part It is organised like it was in old part selector - by jbeam slot names, which is why it might look odd. But this helps in situations when you change the part that doesn't have slots in it to a part that has slots, which forces it to jump to the bottom. It also helps when you toggle "Display names" option. Everything stays on their places at all times You can enable two new sorting options in "More options" menu: - "Sort sublists separately" - which brings back previous new UI behaviour of sorting expandable lists to the bottom; - "Always sort by name" - which enables sorting by what you actually see. Try them out, maybe this is what you're missing
Fixed it by just forcefully removing the dpad bindings in the menu but the fact it overrides and just forcefully opens the radial menu needs to be fixed.
Reposting this here from the discord bug report channel. This bug is present in 0.35. -The new UI doesn't display decimal values outside the slider arrows range. For example, when setting the rear wing angle from 8° to 8.3°, the decimal value is applied in-game (as shown in the clip) but not displayed in the UI -When applying decimal values outside the slider arrows range and then adjusting another tuning setting, the decimal value applied previously resets to the closest value within the slider's range. Example: If the rear wing angle is set to 8.3°, and then the brake force multiplier is changed using the new UI, the rear wing angle automatically changes to 8.5°. This is NOT just a visual bug (as proven in the clip) and only occurs when using the new UI.
Hello, I wish to display my opinion for mostly just the developers, I highly dislike the new radial UI update personally. It was, as far as I am concerned, perfectly fine before the V0.35 update and even before then, this new design is somewhat clunky, and even slower-feeling than the older variations. I do however like the addition of a menu button to bring up the radial menu, and the additional keybind. Good day.
Functionally, I think the new menu is just as good as the old one, if not better. The ability to sort by name in the parts selector is clutch. The search functionality is still wonky from the last update, at least as far as the search within subparts is concerned (like searching for a specific tire). If you type in the box, then scroll down using the scroll wheel and attempt to select a part, the list snaps back up. This behavior doesn't occur if you type something and then press enter before scrolling down.
The only thing I can ask for at this point: Please be more like Mozilla Firefox and less like Google Chrome. Options are a good thing. Please bring them back.

100% Agree Instead of making changes that actually matter , the game is looking more and more like Forza Horizon 5 or Win 11 ( imo rounded edges and so on are disgusting ) I always loved Beamng because it stood out from the rest by looking more proffesional and not like an arcade game (for me its still a soft body simulator). If you want to re-design the UI , I would suggest taking inspirtaion from Asseto Corsa while prioritizing performance and customizability ( still can't adjust chase cam distance, angle or height) instead of changing something that works just for a "fresher look"

Just noticed the " Last used " option on map spawn location screen. WHO needed that? Its just clutter, making the menus less inutitive. Especially when the whole row is empty next to it. I remember all the spawn locations in muscle memory and now they move around dynamically. Why, WHY are you adding useless options that slow the game down??? Why move away from simple menus for the sake of looks? Menus arent meant to look, theyre meant to work, FAST
