I've just launched my patreon! I'll be posting updates there 2 weeks before releasing them on the forums, as well as I might release some of the mods only for my patreons. If you feel like donating, link can be find on the overview page.
I've decided to try doing some modding live streams, so If you want to see me get angry at blender while trying to make Burnside UTE, you can join here: https://www.twitch.tv/aitorror
For Patreons, I'll upload the update as soon, as the Burnside Special UTE is finished, for the forum it will be 2 weeks or a month later. (if I won't get any patreons by then, the update is going to be held for a month. I think that for the amount of work that I put into those, I can't really do it totally for free. For me even 10$/month would be quite good, so I do not expect a lot.
This pack is shortly going to turn into " Ai'Torror's car pack" as I will be adding new body styles and possibly new engines. The V10 K-series is going to most likely hapoen afterall, as it has been requested by my patron. From now on, I'll be only taking requests from donators and patrons.
It isn't an official vehicle, so I won't be adding anything to it as of now... Also the V10 would simply not fit in its engine bay and turning it into an F1 espace sort of deal would require some major Jbeam work. My plans for the future update are: 1. Finish making configs for the Long Bed pickup 2. Maybe adding some small stuff for the short T75 truck. 3. Refining the UV maps for the H35 and H45 which are going to also be merged to my modpack. 4. V10 for the Vanster. 5. V10 for the K-series. 6. Fixing the UV maps and refining the model for the UTE Burnside Special. (Help needed) And for the future updates: 1. New diesel for the D-series and the H-series. 2. More addons for the D-series as well as a new high roof spec for the H-series. 3. Wagon spec for the Burnside Special. 4. My own version of the flatbed for the D-series. And now I'm officially looking for someone who could do the model refining, UV maps and textures for my mod. If you know a bit about blender work and have some free time then let me know.
Here is some progress on the Burnside UTE for you Now I basically need to figure out the Jbeam for it, as well as find someone better than me at texturing/ UV mapping. --- Post updated --- Got the basic Jbeam for the Tailgate set up, later I'll add some rigits and actually mount it to the car (the only problem is that I do not know where to put the hinges actually... Can someone tell me how is a truck tailgate hinged? (the D-series actually doesn't have any hinges)
I'm kind of stuck right now, the hydros just do not want to work (game isn't letting me bind them to any keys). I did do everything what the wiki says and I did revese engineer other vehicles and for some dumb reason it does not want to work. --- Post updated --- IT WORKS!!! Now do something about the interior and the rear window and the model will be off to someone else to fix the UV maps and textures.
An early WIP is on my patreon (look main mod page). It is far from being complete, as I have to clean up the triangles and make proper rear window and fix the interior and then send it to someone to do the UV maps.
oh okay thank you yeah it looks cool and you can make some really cool parts for this mod, don't give up on it it really looks cool keep up the great work my friend.
Okay, does any of you know a way of merging 2 meshes together and keeping their UV maps? It would greatly speed up the process of developement, as I wouldn't have to beg other people to fix UVs for me. --- Post updated --- Nevermind, I've found a way, onto redoing the rear of the "cab" --- Post updated --- The rear quaterpanel has been redone (the gap is there only on texture, the model does not have it). Now I need to sort out the rear side window. --- Post updated --- It will take some time, but at least I know how to do it to not mess up the UV maps too badly.
I call it good, as I'm not able to do any better with my current skills --- Post updated --- --- Post updated --- And this is how the interior is going to look like --- Post updated --- Beta version has been released over on patreon. Now I'll send it over to someone else to do textures and I'll refine the Jbeam a bit more.
