I've been waiting for someone to create some vehicles like; Mercedes-Benz W124 (goes like a tank, smooth and reliable) http://pctrs.network.hu/clubpicture/5/6/4/_/mercedesbenz_e500_limited_2_564456_70796.jpg Mercedes-Benz W210 (-00 facelift, no elliptic shape in the rear lights, there's no extra gaps under the headlights) http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/c4/Mercedes-Benz_E-Class_W210.jpg Lada 2105 (the black fascia with square lamps) http://image.nettiauto.com/extra/carimg/5994701_5994800/lada-2105-5994761_b_1b3d2f18e2056704.jpg Lada Niva would be also interesting. (this one is a legend - they're all basically the same) http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/56/Lada_Niva_1b.jpg Some big delivery truck like the early 2000's MB Actros' (has a box in the back like Gavril H-15 Boxvan, not a pulling table), as I don't really like the look of the "American big-nosed semis". http://static.mascus.com/image/product/large/bc4c8c03/mercedes-benz-1835-4x2-actros,4300d3ae.jpg I had to describe them by text, since the uploading didn't want to co-operate with me for some reason and I'm not sure if everyone is comfortable opening links. I'd try to make them myself, but I don't have any 3D modeling skills and it's probably impossible for me to pull off any of these. Not right now, at least.
Re: More awesome cars http://www.beamng.com/threads/4028-Audi-R8 As for the stolen mesh r8, we've all seen them.
Re: More awesome cars Had a quick browse of the Showroom section and other places where DLC is available...anyone working on any estate cars? I've got a Volvo V70 myself and am quite interested in hurling around a similarly shaped land-barge. EDIT - not sure the Brits to Yanks ratio on here , so I'll just state that by estate cars, I also mean station-wagons!
Re: More awesome cars I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see an Amphicar in the game! I could just imagine being able to drive along the coastline and float along the coast too!
Re: More awesome cars Not quite. Water has extra drag and also seems to cause engines to stall (although I havent found by what metric it decides an engine has been flooded with water and a few mod cars seem fine underwater). But we don't have bouyancy in water yet so everything sinks unless you stick wings on it A hyrdofoil with alot of tweaking may be possible, but a normal boat sadly isn't.
Where are the straight axle Gmc/Chevy truck guys? Game is not complete without them I'm a 73-87 K series truck fan(I cant be the only one on here). I don't have any idea on how to create mods so I wouldn't be much help. I am willing to try tho. Best i could ever do was on ROR I added slight lift to a couple trucks but never handled right.
This is what I want: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Captured_Fiat_CR42_at_RAF_Duxford.jpg A Fiat CR.42 lookalike.
Re: Tank!! Already asked. Use the SEARCH feature or a simple Google Search next time. http://www.beamng.com/threads/5667-A-tank-in-game Short answer - No.
Some car suggestions, and does anyone want to make a late 70's American Sedan? How about we get more mundane cars in the game? An 80's full sized American station wagon, a 90's minivan, a ordinary mid sized family sedan from the 90's, things like that. I'm horrible at 3d modeling, took some classes in high school, never was good at it. Don't care if they are based on real cars, but here are a few ideas Gavril RoadKing (station wagon), perhaps a Ibishu Journey (Honda Odyssey clone), or a Gavril equivalent of a Dodge / Chrysler caravan? As for the sedan, Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, something boring and fun to bash on. And why not a little 90's Subaru based clone, all wheel drive, 4cyl boxer. Furthermore, we need a VW bug, plain and simple, so that someone may turn it into a dune buggy, and I can run over the Covet in it. I'd say the Honda / Toyota clone would have something like a base 4cyl, optional V6. The van, if modeled after an American Dodge or Chrysler, would have a 3.3L V6, and a base model 4cyl. The wagon would have a base model 5.0L V8, with an optional 350, 351, or 360CI V8 depending on if it's based on a GM, Ford, or Chrysler wagon, with an optional diesel V8. I know there is a sedan in the works, Ibishu Pessima I think? But I've heard nothing about a minivan, or wagon. Both would be hilariously fun. Furthermore, how about a Prius clone? I want to drive it off a cliff, repeatedly.... And maybe even drop a bus on it when someone adds one. And a list of other vehicles I think would be fun: Large bus, like a city bus, School bus, Dump Truck (Heavy, good at smashing, doesn't break easy, doesn't go in any hurried manner either), general large smash / flip happy vehicles, there aren't enough of those. Also, if someone wants to make a late 70's American Sedan, I own a '77 Oldsmobile Delta 88, 350, 3 speed automatic. It has a replacement crate engine which puts out 260HP, stock engine put out 170HP but they where often replaced as they had gasket issues that made coolant end up in the oil. I could do measurements, and tell you assorted other specs. For instance, it weighs 3,678lbs. I know someone has likely suggested a few or all of these before, but I've got one last suggestion I doubt anyone has thought of, a lifted four wheel drive hearse, to bring death upon everything smaller than it. Furthermore, when my land yacht is on the road (Should be over the coming month), I will gladly help out with photo's, details, and research if y'all need it. I have access to a rather large and interesting junkyard I can visit weekly for photo's, maybe even get some pics of wrecked cars, or a video of a car that the fire department is practicing on. They shove a dummy in a car, damage it, then cut it open. I saw a Geo Metro with the roof peeled back like a sardine can.
Re: Some car suggestions, and does anyone want to make a late 70's American Sedan? I would love to wreck a Caravan/Town&Country, but Gabester has a lot of stuff already in progress so it will take quite some time. Also, a hearse would be a modification of an existing car, not it's on separate vehicle.
I don't know about you but I would be really glad to see Gabester's nice cars from Rigs of Rods in BeamNG. I especially liked the MV4 and it's pure class but also Omega, MZ2, Zeta and G2. You know if you look at it like this then those cars were all released 3-4 years ago so usually over that time facelift or even new generation is released. That is what could be done: the same old cars we already love with a new taste. I have been looking around, trying to find something, but still don't know if Gabester has or has said anything about his plans to put his RoR era cars in BeamNG.
I would like to, at some point, make 2014-2015 model year redesigns of some of my RoR cars. But I need to establish a "landscape" of realistic average cars before I start making brand new cars.
Thanks! I'm glad to hear that and good luck with your current projects! (Honestly the current MV4 is so good already that it could even be available as it is now)
