    for me the car handling and FPS is greatly improved..

    i have an issue using the keyboard tho basically no control at all ...when i press and hold left..the front wheels turn to the left for a moment then go back to straight...
    but..now my afterglow x360 controller works out of the box...and its "overriding" the keyboard controls...causing the wheels to straighten when i use keyboard...
    ...also the controller stops working if i leave the level and open another one....

    i dont always want to use my controller or wheel...especially when i just want to quickly test a level im working on...id hate to have to unplug it all the time...i usually stay clear of games that force the x360 (eg they usually go crazy in the menus in other games...i rather not play it than have to unplug controls all the time...as it screws up calibration for other sims i play regularly)..there should be an option somewhere for what controller to use when multiple are attached to the system

    apart from that its all looking great so far... top effort!!

    Downloaded the new version, feels like the physics have gotten a nice improvement and all of the other little touches are very nice, especially the change made to the rocks and the death of wheel eating sand. I'm not liking the new dynamic steering with the 360 controller though. Feels like it's too aggressively quick to steer for how responsive some of the cars are now. I'm not sure if it's because the dynamic steering itself changed, or if just the physics changed and the old dynamic steering simply doesn't work as well with the new improved physics. Just feels like it could use a little tuning to get it into the joypad sweet spot.

    The graphical improvements unfortunately seem to have had very little effect on my hardware. Still dips to around 17 FPS and suffers some input lag on the bridge on Small Island no matter my settings.

    same here i'm fairly sure it's just because our cpu's are too slow

    Settings won't have any effect if your CPU is the bottleneck, so yeah... sounds like you guys need an upgrade.

    Anyway, does shift+b no longer work to disable the dynamic steering? It didn't seem to be doing anything for me.

    We intended to add adjustable steering rates to this patch but couldn't quite get it done in time. For now you can edit them in input.lua.

    If you rename input_dynamic.lua to input.lua (and rename the old input.lua) then SHIFT + B should toggle it off/on.

    Right now the stock default game without renaming or editing files has no dynamic steering whatsoever, just some smoothing.

    Thanks, now I know why it felt so twitchy.

    Also, the problem definitely seems to be how the game and my CPU are interacting, but what I don't understand is how it's acting when the game begins to lag. If you look at the image I attached, there's a large downward spike in CPU usage which correlates directly with the poor performance in-game as I go over the bridge. I even accidentally had two instances of BeamNG open at once when I took that and did that test and it still only used a little over a 3rd of my CPU and lagged to that 17 FPS mark as always. Is that my CPU's way of throwing its arms up in the air and giving up when pushed too hard, or is it something else?

    This is the worst update until now.Every single car has became more undrivable!In the previous update the handling was better and even Bolide was acceptable.In this I prefer to walk rather than drive the Civetta...
    The Grand Marshal can't drift anymore without spinning and even the fwd Ibishu is undrivable!The other problem is that you have deleted the (0.5) slow motion replaced it with the 20!What is the point when on the previous update you was able to adjust it?I'm very dissapointed!
    P.S.I drive with keyboard and this is my opinion about the update.I don't want to argue with nobody.I just hope that the devs will understand these problems.:)

    could be that beamng works like shit on amd processors for some reason. You could open up something like speedfan to see if it's overheating but i doubt it.

    Myself and many other have probably faced the issue of their Logitech F310 controller on X-input mode trying to use the old input map and noticed that their steering doesn't work, if anyone has maybe a new reconfigured input file would you be willing to upload it?

    I'm currectly updating..at 30kb/s..are you guys still have bandwidth problem?

    -Personally, I don't like the new icon (looks like the new Windows logo, flat) I prefered the old one, with some shading.
    -In the menu, the billboard still stays 0.3.01
    -Overral FPS increased by 10-15FPS
    -Keyboard steering is lot better, good job on it :)
    -Overal vehicle handling is better, no more skidding when turning

    Most important
    The ibishu seems to have broken:
    At spawn it seems ok, if you accelerate or go back the front hubcaps go off and the car struggle to accelerate.

    I have everything fine except for the clutch. Steering and pedals are working on Driving Force GT.

    about the controller stopping to work: we are working on fixing this bug. About the controller overriding the keyboard input: thats also the problem: we need to increase the deadzone on the xbox360 controller so this wont happen :/

    keyboard input is not done yet. We increased the minimum slow motion percentage as on 5% you saw the stepping which looks quite ugly :/
