It would get a lot more positive attention if you made it free

I do not plan on making this free but I am working on a free car mod next.

Okay, since I need to get this out I will just do that. I am slowly getting sick and tired of everyone, who is complaining, that this is a paid mod. And I assume that a big percentage of these comments are mostly kids and teens between the age of 10 to 15 years. Because a normal adult wouldn't complain about this, especially let out their anger at an mod, which is only 2€'s for one purchase only. And these people are also the same people, who buy a bad mod for 6 to 8€'s out of Kofi or Gumroad, because it's a specific Honda, Toyota or Hyundai Mod and they need it quote: "So bad!" and "It's my dream car" or "That's the car I drive". And it's specifically disgusting, that people are quick and also post screenshots of an Mod, which is LITERALLY only two existing mods slapped together. But oh, because it's free, it's not that bad and we have a reason to shit on the creator who made a far more decent mod, because he made a 2€ paywall behind it.

And behaviours like these, are the reason, why well known Mod Creators leave the community, because they can't stand the daycare like behaviour in these forums anymore. I can see, why it's shitty, when you pay 6€'s only to find out it's a bad mod. I can understand this. But Mod Creators like LucasBE, Theo and Finn Wilkinson etc. make these mods paid, mostly because they worked blood, sweat and tears into them, just to make them high quality. They have spent so much time into these, that it's only understandable that they want money, not only as a thank you but also because they can make mods like these in the future. Because modelling software and all that fancy stuff ain't cheap.

And while this mod doesn't seem like much, it's still well thought, he put lots of effort into it, tried to make it realistically accurate as possible. And that people don't even have two brain cells left to write constructive critics and advice under this threat is just appaling and is also just sad! Because you all are literally taking away all the motivation he might has, and if he shall leave because of this, and you all suddenly realize that his mod had potential, then it's already too late. So, for the sake of everything that is holy, please tone down the hate, if you don't have anything good to say, please leave it to yourself, if you want to give him advice and critics, please do it constructively and without any hate in mind. Because then, modders will take you far more seriously and actually take your advice and critics into account.

And then I do have a few things for the author:

Don't let yourself down, do what your love and your mod is great. I only have some well meant advice along the way. While 2€'s ain't much, I still would suggest that you would make a demo version of the Crash Barrier with only a few configs which differ from the full version, so people "including the one's who want one for free", can try it out and can make up their mind, if they like to buy your full version, or if they like to test the demo version further. And I would suggest to try if you can put the seperate "vrecksbarriers" and "vreckswalls" folder into one vehicles folder and try if both mods are still recognized in BeamNG. I get the idea of your approach. But in the convenience aspect, it's not helpful because most mods are basically: you put the zip folder into the mods folder and then it's done. So I also understand the critics, who find it a bit overwhelming to first extract the zip folder and then putting the two other zip files from the extracted folder into the mods folder.

Other than that, I like your mod very much! It's very versatile, you can put it in places where you want, and I like the authenticity and the accuracy of the mod. While it may be not realistically accurate from the real-life counterparts, it still has many configs to play with and you can recreate many real-life crash test scenarios with it. Overall, I like the mod very much and can't wait for more updates to come. :D

it's actually the fact that ONE crash test barrier with multiple variants costs 2 euros
i mean it's not a car mod so it is not worth it
also, he joined the forums and first thing he did was do a paid mod
what he should've had is do a free mod first, so that we can know his modding quality is good or bad
    just my opinion :)

Oh shit you do not need to write a whole essay about that. I for example understand of paid mods for example LucasBE's one etc. but 6€ in my country could get you 2 sandwiches fries and a drink= More than dinner in mcdonalds and mods get you 5/10 mins of fun and you forget about it and move on.

I'm not forcing him, but I don't think it's so appropriate for a member who recently joined to upload a "paid" mod as the first thread.

Thank you for your support! Making a demo version for people to try seems like a good idea, I would ideally want to do some more updates before that (maybe adding/revising some barriers etc.).
As for the installation, at first I put both into a folder inside a zip file so it would be just dragging that folder into the mod folder. That worked but showed up a bit weird in the mods section of BeamNG. Also one user complained of it not working so just to be safe I recommend dragging those 2 files. To make a single, convenient zip file I would have to (as far as I'm aware) combine both mods together (like "stationary" body option in the vrecksbarriers) which I may try doing in the future. Thanks for this feedback I really appreciate the support.
