    I have a laptop GTX 1650 as well (I have a Dell laptop)... Mine has an Intel CPU however...

    For people where the game gets stuck "doing nothing" in the task manager, could you please try to run the game with a -gfx vk debug argument from Steam? For some reason logs are being cut off before anything vulkan related appears.

    In case of devices with two GPUs like laptops, make sure you have the latest drivers for both dedicated GPU and integrated one.

    I remember someone wrote but I could not find it, I also have a problem on "vulkan" tearing the bottom of the screen, even when just driving straight goes the effect of unsynchronization, a small strip of water ripples, very conspicuous, vertical synchronization enabled + g-sync 120fps 4k. 4090rtx.

    I'm only getting 6.8-91 fps on ultra settings although I have an RTX 2070 Super and Intle Core I5 7500T @ 2.70GHz with a max turbo frequency of 3.30GHz . On normal settings I get high framerates. (Over 100 on Automation Test Track)

    @FFIVGUY sounds like VRAM limit, Vk needs more than Dx. Try lowering texture quality & compare to FPS on gridmap pure

    hi new to the game but did some testing on vulkan and normal

    tested on

    Cpu - Ryzen 9 5950x
    Memory- 64gb Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro @4200mhz
    Gpu -MSI RTX 4080 SUPRIM X

    standard no vulkan




    With Vulkan



    no crashes as of yet .. tested for around an hour with different scenarios

    game is maxed out and running 2k ..

    only issue i found with vulkan is it wont let me change the res .. its stuck in 2k

    but non vulkan i can run 4k and other res ..

    gpu usage with vulkan is full .. non vulkan its around 80-90 percent

    Did a little comparison between DX11 and Vulkan renderers in BeamNG 0.30.5

    Renamed my userfolder to generate a clean one. I set the graphics to "Ultra" preset, maxed out voices and enabled V-Sync(I have always had to enable it in every game on every computer to not have absolutely insane screen tearing for the last 25 years).

    The only reason I decided to make an actual comparison is that the Vulkan renderer is suddenly working really well. In 0.29 it was completely unusable for me but in 0.30 it is finally outperforming DX11. All framerate stats are up and the menus seem to run better too.

    The only issues with Vulkan are the inability to choose a higher than native resolution(I have a 1080p screen, but to have effectively a better AA I run BeamNG at 1440p w/DX11) and a weird "wobblyness" of the screen. It feels like the framerate differs across the screen, it feels very strange. It also only happens when FPS is dropping significantly enough.

    Due to the resoultion limitation on Vulkan currently I have not played with it enough to have any crashes, the longest playsession so far has been ~1 hour on Italy map w/ Piccolina and 22 traffic + 40 parked cars.

    PC specs;
    CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X
    GPU: Gigabyte Nvidia RTX 3060 12G
    RAM: Kingston 2x8GB 3200MHz 16CL DDR4
    OS: Windows 10 Home

    As an unrelated note I would like to thank the devs for making the vehicle triggers not show up constantly:D

    My specs are:
    Intel i7-4780hq
    16gb ram
    Nvidia gt750m
    windows 11

    This is a MacBook Pro running windows through bootcamp.
    When i try to launch Beamng using the Vulkan API, the error message it gives me is "Failed to find a suitable Vulkan device"

    I have checked, and the gt750m does support Vulkan, (albeit only Vulkan 1.1, which is probably the issue)
    and the graphics drivers are the newest available on the Nvidia website, with them being from 2019. Please help, as I want to see if the Vulkan API can allow me to run Beamng better.

    It would be nice if you could attach the log from the session when you try to launch the game in Vulkan mode on your hardware.

    Where do you find such file? When I search "logs" on my computer, the only beamng file that comes up are the crash reports, and in that file, there are only 2 crash reports, none of them being from that particular instance.

    Please report issues only from BeamNG 0.31 from now on :)

    Updated known issues are in the first post.

    From nice Vulkan news, we fixed a lot of issues and reduced VRAM memory usage by 1GB ;)

    In the latest know issues it still says, "Game doesn’t start on Intel and AMD integrated graphics cards" under the "Vulkan Renderer" category, this sentence is incorrect as if it is integrated graphics, it is thus not a graphics card, it confused me at first and others could be confused by it too. A corrected sentence would be "Game doesn’t start on Intel and AMD integrated graphics" so just removing "cards" at the end should make it much clearer
